David & Carol Ann Schmidt, Sr.
Carol Ann Schmidt left this world for her eternal home in Heaven on October 22, 2020 at the age of 70 under care of Hospice at Vitas Healthcare in Lacanto Florida. She is preceded in death by her parents Richard and Esther (Lewandowski) Sucharski. Carol was a dental office manager for 25 years. She will be fondly remembered for her affinity for flamingos. She will be loved and missed by all. Carol is survived by her sister Marsha Sucharski sister Gail Pawlik.
David Jon Schmidt Sr. joined Carol in Heaven six months later on April 17, 2021 at the age of 74. He passed away at Windermere at Cartmell in Palestine, Texas. He is preceded in death by his parents Ray and Dolores (Abram) Schmidt. He served in the U.S. Army from August 1967 to August 1969. David retired from AC Delco after many years of service. David is survived by his brother Richard Schmidt sister Karen (Truebenbach) Schmoker.
David and Carol are survived by their sons and grand children. David Schmidt and wife Miki of Palestine, Texas. Kurt Schmidt and wife Kelly of Troup, Texas. Their grandchildren Kaelyn, Karrissa, Felecia, Brianna, Kathleen and Julia.
Dave and Carol began their journey together on June 15, 1977, when they took their vows and joined their lives. They truly lived, spending time with friends and family. Boating was a great love of theirs and they spent much of their free time instilling the love of it in their sons.
They lived in Milwaukee/Greenfield Wisconsin and attended Mt. Olive Lutheran Church until 2006 when they moved to Inverness, Florida. In Inverness they joined First Lutheran Church.
A memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, June 19th visitation at 10:00 am service at 11:00am at Mount Olive Lutheran Church 5327 W. Washington Blvd, Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Pastor Mike Schleider will officiate.
They will be interred at Wisconsin Memorial Park.
