Dear Tracey -
we just found out about yur father's passing yeterday (Nov 18) - had we known we would have attended his funeral. Yur dad was one of the nicest person ive ever known - always smiling, always upbeat, always ready to listen. he will be missed. but now he is out of all pain & never ever again will have to deal w. an illness or pain/suffering. he has the Vicotry which comes thru knowing Jesus Christ as our personal Savior!!! Yu will see him again & spend Eternity with yur parents! take care of yurself & Bradyn. sending many hugs - kathy & mark kuglitsch xoxoxoo :)

i had the honor to be don's teammate on the milshore team. he was always smiling. don, thanks for the memories and God bless.

From the time I remember watching you at Strachota's Milshore, to winning the metro league my last year in Milwaukee with you and seeing you for the last time at the Hall of Fame are my three greatest memories ! Just a class man and so glad to have known you! Now you'll be on the all star team where you belong.!

Don was a cherished friend of mine for nearly 40 years. His smile and his great sense of humor will never be forgotten. I once told Don that despite all his great bowling accomplishments which were many that to me he was a "hall of fame" person. When I told him that, a tear came to his eyes and he smiled and graciously said "thank you Mark". Tracy,you were lucky to have the best mom and dad a daughter could ever ask for. Our prayers are with you and Brandon at this most difficult of times but take heart in knowing your dad can now join your mom in heaven and his suffering will be over forever.

I was sad to hear about the recent passing of Don. I will always remember his warm smile and the memories when spending time with him. God Bless and I hope that time will ease the sorrow of your recent loss.

Tracey,
Your dad was always upbeat and kind. I had many good times while bowling in the Friday Major. My most vivid memory of your dad goes back to January 12th of 1990. That particular evening I shot 299 against him and as he congratulated me he quickly added how lucky I was to have won my point. I said "Don, I beat you by 87 pins, how is that luck?" He said "John, the last guy to shoot 299 against me didn't win his point." What a competitor! I always enjoyed bowling against his team and having a beer at the bar with him when we were done. He will be missed but never forgotten.

Don was a great guy. Always genuine, and sweet. I am grateful to have been able to spend a saturday afternoon sharing lunch, and having a talk. He was such a valued friend by so many. My heart aches for Tracy and Brandon losing their Dad/Grandpa.

I just want you to know that I had always put your dad on a pedestal shared by few others. Don was a very special individual who always had a smile and time for all. I will miss him far greater than since his retirement. May God's blessings be with you and Brandyn during this difficult time.

Tracy, your dad was a dear friend and teammate. I had the pleasure of bowling on the same team with him for many years.Many fond memories of him and our teammates, Dick Goepel, Don Ciardo, Darold Meisel, Mike Putzer and Howie Uecker and the many trips around the country we took together. Also worked closely with your father as a member of the GMBA. He was a great friend and a great person. The world will be less without him.

I have countless numbers of good memories of great times with Don. He was a "True Gentleman" and a friend to everyone over the years. Don with his "Golden Stroke" was also one of the greatest bowlers in Milwaukee history. He was a "First Class" bowling proprietor at Bluemound Bowl. Don will be missed by many. Don's entire family have my deepest sympathies. All of you will be in my prayers. I am truly saddened and sorry to hear the news of Don's passing. But, try and take comfort in knowing that now you have a special Guardian Angel to watch over you with the love of his life Marliss.

It was both an honor and privelage to know your father. Always greeted me with a smile and a genuine "class act". He will surely be missed by all of us who are better people and bowlers for knowing him. A true Hall of Famer in every sense of the word.
