Edward Kaiser Obituary

Kaiser, Edward L. Known to his family and friends as "Big Ed" passed away in Sarasota, FL on December 1, 2007. Eddie was born July 11, 1912, and he was the tenth and youngest child of Henry and Mollie Kaiser. Eddie graduated from North Division High School where he participated in all sports. He served in the Army during WWII. Afterwards he and his brother invested in real estate in Milwaukee and owned a home improvement company. In 1956, along with Oscar and Erwin Kaiser, he bought the Kaiser Knickerbocker Hotel and the Kaiser Buildings on the north and south sides of Milwaukee. Eddie is survived by his wife of 59 years, Lee Kaiser. During one of their trips to Europe, Eddie had the opportunity to meet Pope John Paul II. Eddie enjoyed life to the fullest and was devoted to his family. He was always there for family or friends no matter what the circumstances were. He will be forever missed and remembered by his friends and all of his nieces and nephews and their children. Funeral services will be held AT THE FUNERAL HOME on Friday, December 7, at 10:00 AM. Burial to follow at Second Home Cemetery, 3705 S. 43rd St., Milwaukee. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Congregation Beth Israel. Eddie, my exceptional cousin, may you rest in peace. Although I never met you I am aware you were a dedicated family man and loved by all. You touched many lives and made this world a far better place bcause of your extraordinary life. Everyone who knew you has wonderful memories. Eddie, you and your beloved wife Lee will continue to be in my thoughts and prayers. My sincere condolences to Lee and Eddie's many nieces and nephews.
