Esther Leona Hastings

Hastings, Esther Leona (Nee Koivisto) Passed away July 15, 2006 at the age of 79 years. Beloved wife of the late Robert L. Hastings who was a Chief Petty Officer in the United States Navy. Loving aunt of Kimberlee (Tom) Schardin and Patricia Hutchinson. Dear great-aunt of Nathaniel and Elizabeth Schardin, Drew, Clayton and Troy Hutchinson. Fond sister-in-law of Jim Hastings, Lola Frieler and the late Don Hastings. Preceded in death by her parents, John and Nina (nee Makkonen) Koivisto, her brother, Arthur Koivisto and sister, Sylvia (the late LeRoy) Wall. Also survived by other loving relatives and dear friends. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 19 at 1:00 PM at West Lawn Memorial Park, 9000 Washington Ave., Racine. The family will receive calls of condolence from 12:00 noon until the time of services. Esther was born in Kenosha, WI in October of 1926. She was a 20 year employee of the Waukegan School District.
