Eugene Vogel Obituary
Eugene Otto Vogel age 89, passed away March 14th, 2021 at Boland Hall Veterans Home in Union Grove. He was born November 18th, 1931 to the late Otto and Anna Vogel. He married the love of his life Jane on April 23rd, 1955. He served his country during the Korean conflict in the 516th signal Company of the Army, and was a member of the St. Joseph's Society (MGC).
Gene was a graduate of Messmer High School and attended the Layton School of Art Design. Working for the same company his entire career in advertising, he joined Andrews Advertising Inc. in 1951. After 36 years he retired as Senior Vice President, Director and Treasurer of Andrews-Mautner Inc. He was a member and president of the Milwaukee Chapter of the Sales Promotion Executives Association (SPEA) and member of Construction Equipment Advertisers (CEA). Gene won many national and local awards for excellence in effective advertising for clients, Westinghouse Air Brake Construction Equipment and Milwaukee Electric Tool among others.
Socially, Gene was an avid golfer and as a child caddied at Blue Mound CC. He enjoyed playing bridge with his wife, neighbors and family.
Eugene will be dearly missed by his wife Jane, his children Phil (Debbie), Katie, Paul (Marissa), and Andy (Heather) Vogel. He will be further missed by his many grandchildren Stacy (Kyle) Davis, Christina (Logan) Riemer, Alex (Ashley) Vogel, Matthew Vogel, Madeline Vogel, Mia Ayson, Maricar (John) Vongsavanthong, Nicolette Vogel, and Paul Vogel; and his Greatgrandchildren; Calvin & Teddy Davis, Miles & Natalie Riemer, Natalie, Leah & Kris Vongsavanthong, Uliana Carbajal-Vogel, and Ayden Javier; as well as his loving Nephews and Nieces.
Eugene was preceded in death by his sisters Betty and Marilyn and their spouses.
A celebration of Eugene's life will take place on Wednesday March 24th, 2021 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. Visitation will be from 9:00am to 10:45am, followed by a memorial mass at 11:00am.

Aunt Jane, Phil, Katie Paul and Andy and your families, I am so sorry to hear Uncle Gene has passed away. I have fond memories of the old days when we spent holidays together and will always remember his kindness. Peace to you all. XOXO

Dear Jane, Andy & Heather and entire Vogel Family. So sorry to hear about the passing of Gene. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. I fondly remember Gene dancing with Jane at Alex's wedding, as the longest married couple. So sweet. May those kinds of memories live on in your hearts and minds for years to come.
