I have known Pastor Tamel since I was a boy and he was a great example of a man tough and kind. It didn't matter to him what walk of life you came from he always made you feel good about yourself and was willing to help you improve if you were willing. He wasn't always right about everything but he was a good man who loved people and leaves a great legacy.

Bishop Frank Tamel was a great man of God. I will truly miss him. My condolences and prayers go out to the family. I may not be able to be there to pay my respects in person but he was very much respected so i will in spirit. I know he loved God and served Him without wavering or faltering and im glad have sat under his teaching of God's word. I will never forget some things he taught me and talked with me one on one and all his discipline and council. Those things I now tell others about including my household. Thanking God for the blessing of Bishop's ministry.

Bishop Tamel was a stabilizing force during a very difficult time for Christian Life Church. We were blessed to get to know him better during that time. What an example of faithfulness to the Kingdom of God. He was a giant among men.
We will miss him, but there is also joy in knowing that he has gone on to a great reward.
One fine day we will see him again!

Bishop Tamel was the ultimate example of a man after God's own heart. My family was privileged to sit under his loving and faithful teaching and preaching. I have a firm foundation to stand on because of his sacrifice to only give us truth from his pulpit. I thank Jesus for the light of Bishop that will never burn out in my heart. My hope is that we will dance on streets of gold together one day. Rejoicing in your victory. Sis. Angel Torres and family.

After I came to Parkway in 1979, and was baptized by Bishop Tamel, I loved him like a second father. The clear message in his life and in his ministry was to love truth and simply do the right thing. He always inspired me to try to please God in all things. When I wanted to be a missionary, he encouraged me and was actually angry when a ministerial organization (not UPCI) rejected me. I felt humbled that he held me in higher esteem than I deserved. And he was himself very humble. He was an excellent, scholarly writer, but he often asked me to edit and critique his work. I loved him very much and will cherish the memory of his hugs. See you in glory, my dear Elder Frank! - Anne Ney

Bishop Tamel and his wife were trail blazers regarding race relations when it was not popular. He reached out to all people for the Kingdom and we loved and respected his god-like spirit. Pastor Ronald and Dr. Annie Oliver

Bishop Tamel was a truely beautiful person. He will be missed dearly. My life became full because of his unwavering faith in Jesus Christ, and the message that he delivered in his words, and the example he lived his life. My heart goes out to the family, as I am sure that he this larger than life individual cannot go without a tremendous feeling of void. I am so greatful and thankful for the family as a whole, as by their example and showing the light of Jesus, we are brought to see the light of Jesus, and know the in the day of salvation we will all be reunited in eternity.
