Dearest Jill and Family. It is with great sorrow that I discover; my friend from England has Passed-Away. I missed finding him again by a few weeks.
In the 1970's Gary and I were fast friends; and we had marvelous adventures around England. We also had great laughs, by causing our separate vacation schedules to 'cross-paths' in Germany and again in Italy; he had headed out for the European Continent, a week before I started. He worked in his off time with alot of skill researching his itinerary for weeks; and would always show me, all the latest developements. He even ordered a new Back Pack; though; when it arrived, the Technical Specs weren't exactly what he wanted. So when he told me a day later that he had returned it; I said: "could I go over to the Shop and purchase it,,, he said: sure.... And I still have that Back Pack.
In 1980 when Gary was returning from England to New Jersey he flew into Western New York on his way to Wisconsin; and my brother picked him up at the Airport. And we all had a great visit for 2 days. Then in 1981 I was travelling thru Wisconsin and while staying at his house for 2 days he brought me around to Sallys' house and we visited with his sister. A wonderful memory for me.
My favorite memory from the boat-loads is when Gary had walked over to my house in England ( about 5 miles ) .... I used to walk over there too... and I had played a popular record album from the 1970's on the record player,,, he mentioned that he had played that same record for his Mom years before ,,, and the way he relayed the story, I could just tell; he really loved his Mom. For when the song he wanted to play for her on that Album had played, "and you and I
called over valleys of endless Seas
she said: "that's really beautiful" ( or something very close to that ).
I miss you man.
Rest in Peace Gary.

Jill and family, my thoughts and prayers go out to you with Gary's passing. Gary and me had some great times together fishing and truly appreciate our time together. Enjoyed working with him at John Hancock as a quality and honest man. Even though have not talked to Gary for many years, I am proud we had our time together. May the memories and time help all of you going forward. RIP bud and hopefully catching fish up in heaven!

Jill,
I worked with Gary when I was the Special Agent Bomb Tech for FBI Milwaukee. Gary was someone that the bomb tech community could always count on. His positive attitude and sense of humor will be missed. I'm so sorry for you for his unexpected loss. You and your family are in my prayers.

Gary was a very nice guy who passed on his broad field of knowledge to many people. As a young (at the time) Deputy he was a go to guy and shared his knowledge and experience with anyone who needed it, without making you feel stupid for asking. If he was in conversation with a group he included everyone. Gary was truly a good man.
