In the 50 years I've know George, I learned that he was a caring, talented human being who never gave up trying to make things better. He had "moral outrage" about so many things in the community and in the country, and in the fifty years that I knew him, he NEVER ever stopped trying to bring about change. Besides that, he was the BEST dance partner a "girl" could ever have! May you rest in peace, George.

I join family and friends, humbly, to mourn the loss of my "big brother" George. The good memories are too numerous to count, beginning the afternoon that he rode his bicycle to Mayfields Jazz Club. May peace be upon him. /nc
