Wanvig, Gertrude E. (Nee Pociecha) Age 94. Passed away peacefully at her home with Carolyn Racks, who for the past nine years, provided loving, caring and compassionate care, along with her staff, at Christ Haven on January 24, 2018. Loving wife of the late James Wanvig. Beloved mother of the late Dennis Wanvig, the late Carole Wanvig, Suzanne Anthony, the late Carl Wanvig, and Mary Beth Wanvig. Proud grandmother of Charles Harasymiw and Jennifer (Jamaal) Jackson. Great-grandmother of two. Dear sister of the late Irvin the late Chester Pociecha, Ed Pociecha, the late Fanny Meier, and Virginia Kerns. Visitation will take place from 5:00 to 7:00 PM on Wednesday, January 31, 2018, followed by a Service at 7:00 PM, at Feerick Funeral Home, corner of N. Frederick Ave. and E. Capitol Dr., Shorewood. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery on February 1, at 10:00 AM. Please meet at the office. 7301 W. Nash St., Milwaukee.
