To my sweet Szuslik family, God has one more angel and Greg's true testament was shared at his funeral, yesterday. You and he have many friends & family that will help you through this. Greg I will truly miss your kind ways, the fun times, the laughs we always shared, your art work, your smile, the love you shared with everyone you touched. You were always there for me if I ever asked for a helping hand. Denise just know, Greg is waiting for another dance with you! God bless all of you! I love you and promise me we will be there for each other.

Well Daddy...last night was probably one of the most difficult times of my life at your funeral. I wished so bad that you would wake up and come back to life. Unfortunately reality is starting to sink in now that you're gone. I am going to miss our talks and all of your fatherly advice, going to miss your silly stories that drove me nuts, but most of all I am going to miss just spending time with you ! Your house isn't going to ever be the same without you. You truly had the absolute patience of a saint ...never once did I hear you complain of your grandchildren . You enjoyed them just as they enjoyed you. Words just cannot describe how sad I am that you're gone. I promise you that I will keep all of the wonderful memories I have of you so very close to my heart! I will also remind your grandkids of what an extraordinary grandpa you were forever and always. May you rest in peace daddy and until we meet again!!!!!!

My condolences to the entire Szuslik family.
I first met Greg when we were very young and Greg and his family lived in West Allis on 74th. The neighborhood was full of youngsters and Greg was one of the older kids that we looked up to and respected. After Greg and his family moved to 97th street, I still saw him on occasion as Gary and I remained friends. When Greg reached his later teenage years I remember him driving Gary and I to Treasure Island. I thought it was really cool we were given a ride by an older teen and in hindsight it was thoughtful of him to agree to take us there. He was a considerate kid back then and I'm sure that carried throughout his adulthood.
My thoughts and prayers are with his family.

To Greg's family. You don't know me, but Greg and I were in school and St. Matthias drum corp together. So many years ago... I most remember him smiling, always looking to have fun. When he brought Brooke out when the girls went to Mexico (high school spring break) it was so nice to see him. I missed seeing him at the corp reunion last year. I'm so, so sorry to hear this. There are no words. My thoughts and prayers are with your family.

Dear Gail, to you and yours, and to all of the Szuslik family. Please know you are all in our thoughts and prayers during this very sad and difficult time. I was in St. Matthias Drum & Bugle Corp with the Szuslik siblings and Mr. and Mrs. Szuslik (Mickey and Ellen) were wonderful chaperones, and our families got together for many fun events! Gail, my heart aches for you, losing your two brothers so young. Greg always had a laugh and a smile to share with all of us, and so did your brother, Gary too! I picture a great party happening in Heaven once again, as our parents, and my brother, Jack, and your brother, Gary, have all welcomed Greg with open and loving arms! Denise and family, I don't know you personally, but I am so sorry for your loss of your husband, Greg, and I extend my sympathies to your children and grandchildren! If love could have saved, Greg, he would have lived forever! May his soul and all the souls of the faithful departed rest in peace. Amen! God Bless You All!

June 10, 2013

Denise and family, words cannot describe our heartfelt condolences to your family. All of you will be in our thoughts and prayers. Greg was a great neighbor to us on Wick Place. Always willing to lend a helping hand, and never too busy to do so. I was fortunate to spend quality time with Greg the day before Thanksgiving Day this past year, as he took time out of his way to help me butcher my deer at your new home in Tosa. We laughed and giggled about the times we were neighbors. Greg, RIP. I wish we could have that time again. You taught me about deer cutting, but more so about life! You will be forever missed! God's speed to heal your family and friends Buddy!

I was sadden and shocked to hear of Greg's passing. I will always remember Greg grilling for the kids at "Longfellow School" at the end of the school year and the wonderful job he did. No words can express the pain that all of you must be going thru but as time goes on may your days be brighter and Gregs memory live forever in your hearts. My thoughts are with all of you at this difficult time. RIP Greg!

I'll miss my cousin Greg for many reasons, but one in particular is that he was my connection to Uncle Mickey, Gary, and Grandpa. Greg was like all of them rolled into one.
On my visits to Milwaukee, he and I could talk and the years would roll away. He made me feel home again. I love him.
It's not enough, but it's a little consolation that he's together again with some of the most important men in my life.

Heaven has called upon you today,
leaving so many words left to say.
But now it's too late, for your time has come, words unspoken; I am sure everybody has some.
Regrets and wishes are probably there too,but lasting forever are memories of you.
I was there when you needed a place to stay, just like you would be there for me night or day.
There have been many times that we disagreed, but we were there for each other in time of need.
Now it's time for me to say Good-Bye,
until we meet again in heaven to fly.

I love you Greg, as I know you did me.

We cried when you passed away. We still cry today. Although we loved you dearly, we couldn't make you stay. A golden heart stopped beating, hard working hands at rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us he only takes the best.

My sweet sweet Greg, I can't even imagine my life without you. We had so many plans that we talked about. We are all lost without you. Greg I keep staring at your favorite chair, you didn't know this but you would sit in that chair and I would sit on the couch just staring at your arms. I loved your muscular arms.. Oh Greg give us all strength, we can't seem to find it. I love you my sweet Greg. You rest now!!!
