Horst Schlichtholz Obituary

Schlichtholz, Horst W. Horst was born Feb. 10, 1934 to Gustav and Lina (Soesemann) Schlichtholz in Goettingen, Germany. He came to the U.S. and was a proud American citizen for most of his adult life. He married Joanne Ambrose in Janesville in 1967. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and the U.S. Navy Reserves from 1956 until 1989, retiring as a Master Chief. Horst retired after working 30 years for General Motors Corp. He had been an avid soccer player in his younger years, and enjoyed watching soccer and the Packers. Survived by his brother, Klaus (Linda Ciske) Schlichtholz, nieces, Stacia Gushel, Sarah (Justin Anderson) Schlichtholz, Leah (Shane) Koch, Claudia Ciske, and a nephew, Kyle Ciske. Further survived by great-nieces, Camile Gushel, Nia Anderson, and great-nephew, Gustav Koch. Preceded in death by his parents, wife, and great-nephew, Karl Gushel.
