Gran, you were one of a kind! I know your here still, just no longer in the beautiful shell our Lord borrowed to you! Yes! My heart is heavy because days ahead seem hard to bear. But, You took me to the water and encouraged me to drink, yet you gave me choice. Meanwhile, I had a decision to make, either drink or die of thirst. So with that said, I found my way back to the water you first presented and decided to have a drink and now I understand your purpose/motives much much clearer. I'll miss you Gran! Ri-paradise...

To the Strong Family I have a special prayer for all of you and it goes like this: "Don't worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God's peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:6 - 7

"And now,we want you all to know what will happen to the believers who have died so you will not grieve like people who have no hope. For since we believe that Jesus died and was raised to life again, we also believe that when Jesus returns, God will bring back with him the believers who have died." 1 Thessalonians 4:13 - 14

"So be truly glad. There is wonderful joy ahead, even though you have to endure many trials for a little while. These trials will show that your faith is genuine. It is being tested as fire tests and purifies gold -- though your faith is far more precious than mere gold. So when your faith remains strong through many trials, that it will bring you much praise and glory and honor on the day when Jesus Christ is revealed to the whole world." 1 Peter 1:6 - 7

"Faith is the confidence that what we hope for will actually happen; it gives us assurance about things we cannot see." Hebrews 11:1

She was a very special lady in my life and I will never ever forget her.Especially when when called me all the time to wish me Happy Birthday every year and had a beautiful smile that lit up the room.I'll miss you Sis.Strong.You were like another mom to me". I love you!!!! I'll miss you lots!!!!!!!!!

When I was a child attending Damascus, Sis. Strong took me under her wing and loved on me as if I were her own. She was a beautiful spirit with a loving heart. I am forever grateful for the vast advice she gave because it has impacted my life immensely. To the family, I know the pain of losing a mother/grandmother. My thoughts and prayers are with you. The only advice I can offer is that you trust in God and know that He is always there. God Bless

My condolences to all of the family, especially the sisters, who my sisters and I met one by one at different points and places in our lives, not realizing that I'd met Avis and there wonderful mother before them all as a MPS employees. First impressions with each of them, were very pleasant, warmhearted and genuine. We connected as family oriented women of God, our comparable biological sisterhood as well as sisters in Christ. May God confort each of you and be gracious unto you.
