My deepest sympathies. Thank you Mr. Bushner for the amazing orchestra experience- the highlight of my day. I still hear your voice saying some in class needed to cut their fingernails - you never forced the issue. I sure loved my long nails. Rest in peace. 1989-1993- Second Violin

I am so sorry for your loss. Mr. Bushner was one of my favorite teachers. I have so many wonderful memories of my 6 years in orchestra with him: his red plaid suit coat, his insistence that we were not the MSO, his arrangement of Stairway to Heaven and so many more! I admired his dedication, loved his sense of humor, and benefited from his wealth of experience and knowledge. He was able to make even reluctant practicers like me feel successful. I think of him every time I pull out my violin or watch my son play the bass. My classmates and I were extremely fortunate to have had Mr. Bushner as our teacher. Meghan Pheister ('90-'96)

Uncle Jim´s humor was the best and there are so many good super 8 movies of us all together at Grandma and Grandpa´s house. Such a thoughtful, special person who will be greatly missed. Our love and prayers are flowing from Ohio back home to Wisconsin. Love you all!

Dear Jan, Jeff, Larry, Jill and family, Uncle Jim will be remembered for his love for family, music and his sense of humor. We have an old super8 movie reel of my Father and Uncle Jim staging a slow motion fight on our front lawn... that reel nearly was worn out from rewinding to watch it again and again. Musically I admired him... watching conduct West Side Story and not realizing until much later how crazy tough that score is written. And we will always cherish the family moments playing at Grandma and Grandpas in Milwaukee or Sheboygan. 2nd Corinthians 13:11 - Finally Brothers, goodbye. Aim for perfection, listen to my appeal, be one of mind, live in peace... and the God of peace will be with you.
