Janis Wolf Obituary

Wolf, Janis B. "Jen" Janis B. Wolf of Bayside, passed away on Monday, May 14, 2018, at the age of 69. Born in Chicago, IL, the beloved daughter of the late Andrew Edward Wolf, Jr. and Shirley (nee Giessen) Wolf. Sister of Scott Andrew Wolf of Sugar Grove, IL. Jan was a valued employee of Zilber Ltd. for over 40 years and and a paralegal when she retired in 2015. She enjoyed traveling, especially in Europe. She was a master at crossword puzzles and Sudoku and an avid reader. Occasions spent sharing good food and laughter with close friends were some of her happiest times. During her many years of Lake Michigan sailing, she preferred fair weather but handled whatever came her way with poise and grace; that can be said about her approach to life in general. Jan will be deeply missed! Jan was grateful for the support of loving friends, Judy Gertsma, Carol McNeil and Mark Madigan, her oncologist John Burfeind, the staff at Froedtert Hospital and Rodney Hill who made her many trips there and back enjoyable. Family and friends will gather in Jan's honor on Wednesday, May 23, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at the Feerick Funeral Home. Interment will be private. Memorials in Janis's name may be made to Froedtert Hospital Cancer Center, Attn: Froedtert Hospital Foundation, 9200 W. Wisconsin Avenue, Milwaukee, WI 53226 or Zilber Family Hospice, 1155 Honey Creek Parkway, Wauwatosa, WI 53213 or American Cancer Society, PO Box 902, Pewaukee, WI 53072.

I am saddened to hear this. Although we lost contact over the years, she will always be remembered fondly as "Aunt Jan". Many family gatherings were spent around my Grandmother's kitchen table enjoying wonderful homemade pasta and Italian cookies and playing Royal Rummy. I remember sleep overs at her house and playing with "Bugsy" her beloved rabbit. She will be greatly missed. My thoughts are with her family and friends at this time.

Jan was my travel friend!
She pushed me in a wheelchair to see the Mona Lisa...they removed th restraining belts for us❤
We went all over Europe, and the group caught me buying shoes, instead of going to another church

Jan and the Wolf family were an integral part of my sister and my childhood. I fondly remember the visits to Wilmette and our summer vacations to Clearwater Beach, Florida. The Naviauxs always have had a special place in our hearts for Jan, Scott, Shirley, Andy and Pauline.

As a child, I fondly remember the many parties we had with the Wolf family. You always had a fun time with Shirley, Andy, Janis and Scott and Pauline. Then there were the summer vacations we shared in Clearwater Beach in Florida.
I can say that the Naviaux family loved the Wolf's and each individual Wolf member. Janis, may you Rest In Peace.
