Jayne Koceja Obituary

Koceja, Jayne E. (Nee Lorch) of Milwaukee Passed away peacefully in her sleep on April 11, 2011, at the age of 54 years. Beloved daughter of the late Jimmie and Nancy Lorch. Dearest daughter-in-law of the late Sylvia Koceja. Amazing and giving mother of Lizabeth Koceja-Anderson, Sarah and Christopher Koceja. Cherished mother-in-law of Michael Anderson. Loving grandmother of Kaitlyn, Sophia and Jacob. Beautiful sister to Colleen Dembiec, Dencye (Steve) Baker, Timothy Lorch, Butch (Mary) Lorch and Kevin (Peggy) Lorch. Aunt to many nieces and nephews. In her early life Jayne gave her life for others. In her later life she gave the good fight, never giving up, so the ones around her would not be sad for her. She enjoyed playing slot machines and watching game shows. She loved dogs and missed hers greatly. She had many friends and co-workers at South Division High School and Oak Creek / Franklin School District. She continued to have a positive attitude until her last breath. A SPECIAL AND HEARTFELT THANK YOU TO every employee and friend she had at Mt. Carmel - Oak Unit. Her Multiple Sclerosis diagnosis made it a struggle with daily life and everyone of you made it easier. Jayne was the biggest Packer fan and was grateful to see them win the big game! Please remember to hug your mom. "There's magic in a Mother's touch, and sunshine in her smile. There's love in everything she does to make our lives worthwhile. We can find both hope and courage just by looking in her eyes. Her laughter is a source of joy, her works are warm and wise. There is a kindness and compassion to be found in her embrace, and we see the light of heaven shining form a Mother's face." Memorial Services Friday, April 15, at 6:00 PM, at the Funeral Home. Memorial gathering from 5:00 to 6:00 PM at the Funeral Home. Memorials to the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Wisconsin and MADACC appreciated. Love you Mama, I miss you already. JOSEPH E. Lizabeth, Sarah & Christopher: Your mom was a wonderful lady/friend/relative by marriage to me and has always had a special place in my heart, even though we have not been in touch for years. She was always so positive and had a beautiful smile to brighten your day, and she lived for her children. Trust that she is with the Lord and is no longer suffering. She will still love and guide you with her spirit until you meet again someday. Love and prayers to you, especially during this difficult time of sorrow.

Growing up Jayne was always just there as Liz's wonderful mother & was like a second mother to me....although we put her through hell when we were in highschool. She was always there for you if you need someone to talk to or if you needed anything. She always gave the best advise and always told you what was probably the best....even if you didn't want to hear it. When I was pregnant with Ava, we had a little scare, Jayne held my hand and told me that everything would work itself out. I was still scared but her saying that to me, just gave me comfort. She had the biggest heart and will be missed greatly. My love and prayers to all of her family and friends.

Matt and I send our deepest condolences to you in this tough time. I hope and pray that you can find comfort that she is in a place where she no longer has pain. I know that you made every minute count with her and I am sure that she loved every minute of it.

I remember your mom so well, playing with you guys when we came over to visit and how your mom and mine would yell at us for getting so wild. I will never forget your moms smile or how sweet she was, always was willing to help out. She will be missed very much!

I remember growing up with the Lorch family while living in Northlawn back in the 60's and 70's. Even though Jayne was only 4 years older then me (I was her sister Colleen's friend), I was always so taken back by how pretty and thin she was and how pretty of a smile she had. Over the years I didn't much get to see her except at some of the family gatherings but she still always set me back at how up beat she could stay at the most difficult times in her life. My thoughts are with you all. She will be greatly missed!!

My deepest sympathy to the family. Jayne and I worked together at Oak Creek/Franklin School District Offices. She worked hard but we still had time for many laughs. I have a picture of us laughing that I treasure. She was great to work with and taught me a lot about computers. She loved her children and only wanted the best for them. I thought about her when the Packers won the Super Bowl and how excited she must be. Even though we haven't kept in touch these last years, she will always be in my heart and prayers.

It's funny how time flies bye so fast with raising kids, working and just making every day decisions. When your a child, you want to be an adult, when your an adult, you want to go back and be a child sometimes. When I was grewing up, the Lorch family was a big part of my life. Even though Jayne wasn't my sister, it always felt like it being around her and her siblings. As we got older, we parted ways, but one thing that always remains are the memories of growing-up with her and the fun times we had together. You will truly be missed by all.

To Jayne's Children,
I worked with your Mom many years ago and lost track of her after I left South Divison. I will however, never forget her. She was such a smart lady and always so busy. But no matter how busy she was, she was always willing to stop what she was doing to help me or anyone else for that matter. She never made us feel like we were an imposition. And she always had the answers! The other thing I remember about your Mom, is she talked about you a lot and was so proud of you. Your Mom turned me on to Mandy Patinkin. I played his music today in her memory. Sending prayers to you in what I know has to be a most difficult time.
