Joanne Weber Obituary

Weber, Joanne A. (Nee Ludwig ) Joined her beloved husband, Wayne, in heaven on November 24, 2015. After years of struggling with COPD, she passed away peacefully surrounded by family at Seasons Hospice in Waukesha. Loving mother to Thomas (Tracy) Weber and their foster children; and Suzanne (Christopher) Porath. She was preceded in death by her parents Frederick A. and Edna (Baas) Ludwig and sister, Karen Heacox (Ludwig). She is survived by many other family and friends who will miss her dearly. Although she had many adventures in her life, including training at Weaver Airline School and a trip to Brazil, her favorite place was her home in Muskego watching the finches, squirrels, turkeys, and deer in the yard. Throughout her life, her attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and warm personality allowed her to be a valued administrative assistant at numerous organizations including Wisconsin Bell Telephone; Muskego-Norway School District; and most recently, the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod offices. She was an avid reader which led her to work at Waldenbooks for many years and to head the library at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Muskego for several decades. Her passion for books showed through in her desire to organize book fairs at church functions and she founded WELS-CLO, a network of church librarians across the country. Appreciation to all who were able to support her through phone calls, cards, lunches and visits and numerous other gestures of kindness both during Wayne's illness and after his passing. After 2 1/2 years of missing him, Joanne is now dancing a polka in heaven with Wayne. Visitation will be held at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, S66 W14325 Janesville Rd., Muskego, WI on Friday, December 4, 2015 from 10 AM to 12 PM. Memorial service 12 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Paul's Lutheran School, Muskego Tuition Assistance fund or to ProHealth Foundation, D.N. Greenwald Regional Cancer Center would be appreciated.

Tom: At times like this, I never know quite what to say, but I hope you know my thoughts are with you now more than ever. I'm praying for you. I remember the great job she did with the library at church. I also remember chatting with her on facebook.
