John Cremer Obituary

Cremer, John W. 91, passed away peacefully on February 24, 2012, in Naples, FL. A former resident of La Crosse, Elm Grove and Sturgeon Bay, WI, he is survived by his wife Betty Jane (Miller) Cremer, children David Cremer, Cathy (Steve) Bruss and Mary (Dave) Rosenberg, and grandchildren Andy, David and Glynn. John was a proud WWII veteran who served on the U.S. Navy's elite Underwater Demolition Team. He graduated from UW-Madison as an electrical engineer and went on to found Cremer Engineering in the Milwaukee area. John was a devout Episcopalian, a Rotarian, an avid hunter and fisherman, and an accomplished sailor who won the Chicago-Mackinac race in 1972. His zest for living and remarkable sense of humor will be missed by all. Sail on, John! A private family memorial service was held.

To Aunt Betty and Cousins Cathy, Mary and David,
We are all sad to hear of Uncle John's passing but happily remember his "Cremer sense of humor", his love for his wife and children and his success in his profession and hobbies. We will remember him at our future Cremer reunion and for years to come. Love to you all-- nieces and cousins Tina, Elsa and Gretchen Cremer
