I am very sad and to learn of John's recent passing, and want to extend my deepest condolences to the entire Fitch family.
I grew up with John, and although we were never the closest of friends, we knew each other very well. I remember John tearing up the track at Good Hope elementary, running the 50-yard dash faster than anybody in the school! That's one of the things I remember about John, just how FAST he was! I mean, he could run!
We also played baseball together, Little League, Senior League, and freshman high school baseball. In fact, it was John that encouraged me to try pitching, which I did. I was never great at it, but I always appreciated that he encouraged me to do it, to give it a try.
I also remember John as a straight shooter, and a person that never had a mean bone in his body. He was always positive and helpful to people, never argumentative or getting involved in petty school conflicts. He was just a really nice guy, a hard worker, and very talented.
I knew John's family a little bit, and they were always very nice people. Let me once again express to everyone how sorry I am to learn of John's passing. I hadn't seen John since high school, but I am certain that he was a great parent, a great husband, a great coworker, a great friend. I know that he will be missed by all.

To the family of John Fitch! I was deeply saddened when Gerry Timms called to tell me of John's passing. John was one of my Regional Sales Managers at Rite Hite shortly after he graduated from college and was a pleasure to work with. However my best memories of John was our trip to the Super Bowl in San Diego to watch the Packers and the competitive 2 on 2 basketball games and golf matches we enjoyed that week. In fact we continued those golf games in subsequent years which were always highly contested but mostly FUN! I will miss John and always remember the good times we shared! Rest In Peace John! My heart is breaking for the loss of my Cousin John and especially for his immediate family at this time. To say that he was an incredibly kind and sincere soul does not begin to scratch the surface. I will always be greatful for the love and compassion he showed my Father, his Uncle Mike, when my Dad was was battling cancer. Thank you John for being so excellent in life, and we will be excellent in honoring your memory.

John was a great man and will be dearly missed. I feel fortunate to have called him a friend and colleague and we are all worse off for this loss. John's ability to connect with people in an honest way was a gift that I will always appreciate. My sincerest sympathies to his family.

I was so sorry to hear of John's passing. I have many happy memories of him back at Miami...always with a smile on his face and something funny or sweet (or sometimes a little sarcastic, but always kind) to say. Thinking of your family and wishing you peace in the days ahead.

I am so sorry for your loss. This sadness hits home as I grew up with the Fitch's, living in Glendale and going to the same schools...Becky was and is still a good friend and I always loved Janet for being such a great Girl Scout leader and cool lady that I got to know as an adult. I remember John as such a sweet and nice guy. I'd see him walking past my salon and he'd always wave or say hi. He will be missed so much. Love you guys, Lisa (Elizabeth) Mandel
