Joseph Louis Palmisano
Joseph Louis Palmisano

Franklin - Age 77. At peace January 9, 2021. Loving husband of Margaret for 55 years. Beloved father of Jill Palmisano and Joseph (Mary) Palmisano. Proud Papa of Amanda (Eric) Zakszewski and Louis "Goggles" Palmisano. Dear brother of Nina (John) Clark, Nancy Palmisano (Dan Gregory) and the late Frank Palmisano. Further survived by other relatives and many friends.

Joe was a caring man who always put family and friends first. He cherished the 55 years of marriage with the love of his life, Marge, who he often referred to as "the boss!" His children Jill and Joey, and his grandchildren Amanda and Louis were the light of his life.

Over his 60 years in the produce industry he left a mark on all who knew him. He was honest, self giving, and had a heart of gold. He was known for his generosity which was a guiding principle for his life. Joe enjoyed being around people. One of his favorite past times was sharing stories about the "good old days." Anyone who encountered him would remember him for his kindness and a smile that would light up the room. There are no words to describe how the loss of this great man impacted all who knew him. We will always carry fond memories of him in our hearts. Private family services were held. If desired, in lieu of flowers memorials to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital appreciated.

As I read the beautiful words written about Joe in his obituary, I could see that he carried the same qualities we saw in him in high school right through to the end of his life. He had a big smile and a big heart. He was one of the earliest to drive and have a car. And always generous, he would take as many as would fit into that car to go to the Pig after the Sock Hops. Joe was one who helped make Cathedral High a fun place to be. He holds a special place in memories of that time. My condolences to his wife and family.

Joe had a heart the size of a mountain. He was the kindest, most generous person. We couldn't have asked for a better neighbor. We will miss Joe so much. Summers won't be the same without him. We so looked forward to, at the end of the day, either in his garage or on our patio sitting on lawn chairs, with a beer in hand reminiscing about the "good ol' days". The stories he could tell! Our deepest sympathies to his family. Rick and Char Heiden

My sincerest sympathy on the loss of your wonderful husband and father. Joe and I went to St John Cathedral High School together and kept in touch at all the class reunions. Joe generously supplied the green apples for part of our centerpieces at the 50th reunion. His friendly smile will be missed by the entire class.

Marge, you have my deepest sympathy. Joe was one of the nicest guys I knew way back in high school and was always kind to everyone. His smile was as huge then as it was the last time I saw him last year. I know he will be missed.

Aunt Margie, Jill and Joey; I am heartbroken for you but remember, he has the best seat in the house to watch over you and watch his grandchildren grow in their own lives. Keep the memories close to your heart and he will never be far away. I will miss his smile and generous heart when we would visit. Love to you all, Annita, Emily and Hannah.
