Julie Mysliwy Obituary

Mysliwy, Julie A. (Nee Thiel) Of South Milwaukee, passed away Tuesday, June 17, 2008, at the age of 48 years, after a sudden illness. Loving mother of Casey and Joseph Mysliwy. Beloved daughter of Madeline Laufenberg and the late Richard Thiel. Step-daughter of Ray T. Laufenberg. Cherished sister of Jill (Karl) Markgraf, Rick (Carolyn) Thiel and Christopher Thiel. Step-sister of Lynne (Eric) Hendee. Aunt of Karl and Alida Markgraf, Jenna, Tyler and Kyle Hendee. Special niece of Joseph Pelletter, Anthony (Vicky) Pelletter and John (Rose) Pelletter. Also survived by special friend Chuck Schell and Casey, Joseph's father Joe (Renee) Mysliwy, and many other cousins, relatives and friends. Preceded in death by her Grandparents Aleda and Verne Thiel, and Anna and Matthew Pelletter. Julie was a speech pathologist for 20 years at Sacred Heart and Columbia St. Mary's Hospitals. She was well respected and a vital part of the Rehabilitation Team, helping many patients recover. She was passionate about her work and loved working with people. Her children always came first in her life. She loved to sing and was a member of the Milwaukee Symphony Chorus for many years. She also enjoyed biking, theater and movies. Visitation Fri., June 20, at the Molthen-Bell Funeral Home Chapel from 4:00PM until 7:00PM. Services Sat., June 21, at 1:30PM, at Gunderson West Funeral Home, (7435 University Ave., Middleton, WI 608-831-6761). Family will greet people from 12:30 PM until time of service. Burial at St. Bernard Parish Cemetery to follow. A special thanks to the Doctors and Nurses at St. Mary's for their care the last few days. In lieu of flowers, Memorials for Julie's children's further education would be appreciated. "You were the jewel given to us for such a short time, we will hear your laughter in our hearts." Julie was my supervisor as a student and as a CFY , and we became co-workers and friends. I could not be more blessed having Julie around me. Her passion, her respect , her expertise!
