My thoughts and prayers are with you every day. My sister attended the memorial service for Justin at Whitnall High School and stated you did receive my letter. My family is also on the rough road of grief, because of the loss of our 16 year old son, Brian. Perhaps we can help guide each other through this new, but very much unwelcome, life. I wrote my cell phone number in the letter I left at the crash scene. Please feel free to contact me.

Dear Meyer Family,
I am so sorry for your loss of your son and your brother. I too had just lost my younger brother to a tragic car accident and can relate to the younger brother. I was the only one in the family to see and talk to him before he did pass and is a lot harder for me to cope with these type of things now. Stay Strong and i know its hard and it feels like your world has just been stopped and you can't move forward... But just take one day at a time. If you ever need any other family to talk to, you are more than welcome to come and talk with us. Your family is in our thoughts and prayers.

I did not know Justin personally, although I attended highschool with him for two years. I made the occasional glances at him in the hallways or at the school dances. I regret not being able to get to know this amazing young man.
I will be praying for your family and that God will give you the strength to get through this rough time. You should be honored for raising such a gentleman. He made an impact on us all, even the ones he never knew.

Dear Meyer Family,
Even though I met Justin only a few times I still know that he was an amazing young man. Courtney Karlheim is one of my closest friends and I know how happy he made her. She's had a rough past year and it was so nice to see her face light up whenever she spoke of him. He made her so happy and it breaks my heart that Justin was taken at such a young age. My son Cody has gone to school and played football with Justin for many years. A little over 2 years ago we lost our stepson/stepbrother who was 16 yrs old to a horrible senseless car accident as well. When we heard the news about Justin, it had brought back horrible memories for both of us. Time and prayer WILL get your family through this even though it may seem impossible right now. RIP Justin

I was stuck at the top of the hill and all the neighbors drove past my dad and I, but Justin....he walked right up the hill and helped me get out of the snow. I didn't know you but I was there immediately after your accident and saw your parents grieve for you. As a mother myself, my heart broke for them at that moment.
