Keith R. Mayo
Keith R. Mayo

Mukwonago' - It is with great sadness that the Mayo family announces the death of Keith Mayo. He passed on March 28, 2021 at the age of 65, after a short battle with cancer, in his home and surrounded by his family. Keith was a tax accountant at Bucyrus International for over 20 years. He is survived by Nancy, his beloved wife of 42 years, his daughter Jessica (Eric), his son Kyle, and his bother Rick (Nancy Lee). He is preceded in death by his parents, Melva and Orval Mayo.

Keith was a loving husband, devoted father, and loyal brother. He was a lifelong Green Bay Packer fan. He enjoyed sharing his love for the outdoors with his family on camping trips, family vacations, and later in life traveling with his wife to over half the National Parks. Yellowstone was his favorite. He loved spending time in the Northwoods, gardening, and stamp collecting.

Visitation at the Funeral Home (930 Main St., Mukwonago) on April 10, 2021 from 12:00PM (noon) until the time of Memorial Service at 3:00PM. Family, friends and others whose lives Keith touched are invited to come and reminisce, grieve, support each other, and of course, just chat.

The family would like to thank ProHealth Care Home Hospice (specifically Dennis), the UW Health Cancer Center at ProHealth, and the Oncology Unit at Waukesha Memorial Hospital for the care Keith received.

Memorials, in Keith's name, to Yellowstone Forever (www.yellowstone.org) deeply appreciated.

We are so sorry to hear about Keith's passing. We have so many fond memories of Keith and Nancy when the Mayo and Fork kids were in scouts. Thoughts and prayers to the family. Keith will be missed.

32 + years ago a career friendship was started with two people who I have cherished and learn to love very very much. Keith and Nancy you have always been so good to me, whether it was Keith telling me I had to pay taxes or Nancy with a strong hug which I needed during a rough time of my own. Keith you always knew how to make things easier, always a light at the end of the tunnel. I will miss your laugh and your gentle genuine kindness. It was like Christmas every year bringing you guys homemade bird houses, feeders, & zebras, for Nancy. You proudly had the Green Bay Packers birdhouse on your TV to show your true colors for the team thank you. We would sit and talk you and Nancy would laugh at all the dumb things that I would tell you I had done since our last meeting. I always felt like I was home when I came out to see you. Jessica and Kyle both turned out excellent . U & Nancy did a great job. two awesome kids. Keith I will miss you, thank you for being probably the nicest sincere true friend I think I will ever know. I know you are already at home with God in heaven please watch over Nancy Jessica and Kyle until you all meet again I'll miss you Keith George and Jack the Fat Cat
