I was very saddened to hear of uncle Ken's passing. It's been many years since I've seen you both and deeply regret the lost opportunity to visit with him.

Dear Aunt Mary and kids,
Reading all of these entries in the guest book made me cry. I'm so proud of Uncle Ken. He helped and cared for so many people. What a difference one life made. My heart and prayers are with you Aunt Mary, Ken, Greg, Ann, Tootie, John, Jenny and the rest of the family. I love you all.

My deepest sympathy to your family. Dr. Urlakis was a WONDERFUL Ob/Gyn and a Wonderful person. He delivered 2 of my 3 children. He always made you laugh.

Hey, Aunt Mary, kids, I'm so sorry about Uncle Ken. He was a great uncle to me and my brother, Andy. And all these other entries say he was a good doctor and medical teacher. This makes me proud that my very own uncle helped so many people in his lifetime. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Dear Mary and family,
As we were leaving town Thursday evening Ed said to me "when we get back I want to call Ken and see how he is doing." Imagine our shock and sadness when we read of Ken's passing. We are so sorry we were not able to offer our condolences and say our goodbyes in person. Ken was a great guy and will be missed by many. To the Urlakis family:
Your husband/father was an incredible man. He was my OB/GYN and always made me feel at ease. He delivered both my children and I felt a "loss" after each birth when I didn't have to see Dr. Urlakis every week! Back in those days you could call your OB/GYN for a sore throat or whatever ailment you had and he would help you. He always talked so wonderfully of his family. My deepest sympathy to you all.

My family and I are very sorry to hear of the loss of your father, father-in-law, grandfather, friend...We did not personally know him, but I worked with Dr. Urlakis Jr. Reading these entries makes me sad I did not know him. Some of the most important things in life are family, faith, and making yourself be a positive role model. I believe you all should be honored that you had the great priviledge of knowing and loving this special man.

My heart goes out to all of you. It was my privilege to be a patient of Dr. Urlakis' for 20 years. His sense of humor, knowledge, upbeat spirit and way of making you feel you were the only appointment of the day will never be forgotten. I always left my
appointments feeling better than when I walked in. What a wonderful man and a truly exceptional doctor.

Dr. Urlakis delivered my sister's baby in 1964. My sister was living at Rosalie Hall at the time. My mother and sister were so impressed by his kindness and compassion. Three years later in 1967 Dr. Urlakis delivered my first baby. My uterus inverted after the delivery. I will never forget how efficiently and kindly he handled that emergency. He was my hero. My son was born three years later (I gladly waited until Dr. Urlakis was back from his Navy duties) with no complications. He often lovingly spoke of his wife Mary and their children. My deepest sympathies to his family. He was a wonderful man.

To the entire Urlakis family: We are so sorry to hear of your loss.
After several miscarriages, Tom Stoiber suggested we contact Ken and within 2 years I was able to present my husband with a son. I can only say "ditto" to all the other condolence messages. His humor, his dedication, his being there for me for a 4 AM delivery, all are fond memories.

I am so sorry for your loss but Dr. Urlakis was the best blessing any family could have. He delivered both of my girls and helped me through some trying times with his kind heart and wonderful sense of humor. He spoke of his family always with deepest love. He will be missed by many. Dr Urlakis brought my three girls into the world. He made me feel soooo comfortable in process of childbirth. He was an educator, a professional, and a friend. He shared so much of his personal life.....so "real" to those he touched. Mary and family....my deepest sympathy. May he rest in peace.!!!

Dr. Urlakis delivered our Neice & Nephew. John thought the world of Dr. Urlakis always looked forward to seeing him and his Brother Jerry at the Auction Gallery. A Wonderful Man he was and will neever be forgotten and also will always be rmembered for his great Knowledgable Work in the Medical Field. Thank You Dr. Urlakis. Rest in Peace.

Dr. Urlakis holds a special place in my heart. I enjoyed his wit and sense of humor, of course, but especially appreciated his tender kindness to me and my family after my husband died. He made a difference to this family, as he did to so many others.

I was a resident at St. Joseph in the MCW program from 1993-97. I learned much from Dr. Urlakis. He was truly one of my favorites to work with. Knowledgable, a great teacher, and funny as could be. I'm deeply saddened to hear of his death. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.

Dear Mary (Tootie):
I am so sorry for the loss of your father. I lost my father only 30 days ago and my heart aches for you. I met your father for the first time last year when he attended my dear friend Heidi and Ryan Engelhardt's wedding reception. When I introduced myself, he said "I think I delivered you", and he was correct. He then went on to ask how my mother and father were. I hope the memories you have of him are vivid and plenty....they will help in the healing. My deepest sympathies to you and your family.

I am so sorry for your loss. I remember when Dr Ken delivered our son. It was midnight and he walks in the room wearing jeans and chewing gum. When Chris was born he told us that he just saved us alot of money (knowing that we already had another son) in hand-me-downs. We'll be praying for your family.

I went to high school with Kenny (as we called him) and through the years I had asked about him. We lived on Michigan Avenue just around the corner. I became an RN, married a physician and we were medical missionaries in Africa. I have one favorite black and white picture of Kenny and our gang. I send my sympathy.
