(nee Clark) Born To Eternal Life Tuesday, January 5, 2021, age 89 years. Dear wife of 70 years to the late Robert "Schmidty" Schmidt. Adored mom of Jerry (Bernie) Schmidt, Tom (Lenore) Schmidt, Jim (Linda) Schmidt, Judy (Jim) Murdoch and Greg (Laurie) Schmidt. Loving grandmother of Julie (Jim) Zaja, Kelly (Charlie) Bellin, Jenny (Dan) Sturma, Laura (Ken) Webber, Tony Schmidt, Andy (fiancee-Shannon) Schmidt, Angela Fields, Eric Lerch, Andrew Lerch, Barry Lubs, Tony Lubs and Jason Lubs. Preceded in death by her children, Nancy Helen Lubs and Jeffrey Paul Schmidt; parents, Tony and Margaret Clark; brother, Bill Clark. Fond sister of Dorothy Radocay. Sister-in-law of Marlene Clark. Dear friend of Deb and Mike Zmudzinski. LaVerne is missed and further survived by great-grandchildren, countless nieces, nephews, other family and many dear friends.

LaVerne was a retiree of Kohls Department Store. She was past president of Ladies Auxiliary of Knights of Columbus Council #1709 in South Milwaukee.

Visitation on Friday, January 22, 2021 from 9:00AM-10:45 AM at Divine Mercy Parish, 800 E. Marquette Ave. Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM. Entombment to follow at Holy Sepulcher Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Xaverian Missionary Fathers are appreciated.
