My deepest condolences to my good, long ago friend Katy (Kathryn) Mueller Kresse. May Katy and the family be wrapped in God's loving arms as Larry looks down on his family from heaven.

My heartfelt sympathy to Larry's family. I was fortunate to have taught 6th grade with him for a dozen years at Edgewood. Larry was a wonderful teaching partner and a great asset to the students and staff in Greenfield. He was a caring, innovative, dedicated professional and a fine man.

May God bless the family in their time of sorrow.
I was one of the lucky ones who had Mr. Kresse as a sixth grade teacher. May he rest in Peace.

So many memories of Larry; bike rides through the Kettle Moraine, teaching/beginning 6th grade at Greenfield Middle School, getting help from Larry when I was sent back to 5th grade, reading his many attempts at publishing children's books and teachers' manuals (The Writing Process...the best example of how to affectively teach writing to elementary/middle school students that I have ever learned about) and so many other personal stories. In my 30 years of teaching, Larry was the most creative and innovative colleague who I ever worked with and I worked with many talented people. Even though I have not seen Larry in several years, I often think about the lessons that he shared with me. In fact, when I went back to work in Greendale (5th and 4th grade), I found myself using and sharing The Writing Process with my colleagues with great success. Larry's loss is a great loss to all who know him. Probably the best thing that happened to Larry was meeting and marrying Katie...he loved you dearly Katie. Be well Kresse family and friends.
