Dear Kurt and Renee. I knew your dad as a good friend of my brother (John Holzbauer) and as a dear friend of our family as I grew up. Lee often let me carpool with him during college at semester breaks, his being at Stout and my being at Eau Claire. Such a gentle, kind man. A good soul. I am blessed to have known him. You are all in my prayers during this difficult time.

I am sorry for the loss of Mr. Metzelfeld. I was a good friend of his daughter=Renee throughout gradeschool. Renee....I hope you are reading this and if so please email me:

I, too, lost my father two years ago and it is hard to lose a loved one. Take comfort that he is with our Lord now!

Dear Kurt and Renee,
I know when I last talked to your dad he was talking about going home soon. I did not realize that the Lord had Lee's heavenly home ready for him. He now enjoys a permanent home with his Savior.
Dad did update me on you lives and families, he truly treasured his children and grandchildren.
May the Lord keep you in His care,
