Jan Reed
January 31, 2014
To Lorna's family from Jan Reed (formerly Geboy) and Pat Reed in Washington DC. Pat and I were sad to hear that Lorna has passed away. We looked forward each year to her Christmas card and note. And I looked forward to the call I would make to her to catch up on things. It made Lorna happy to know that someone still went to visit Jeff's gravesite, something Pat and I still do every year on his birthday and on the anniversary of his much too early passing. And always, we toast him with a glass of champagne, leave the half-full bottle for him. Now we toast Lorna, knowing she is resting peacefully and is once again united with Wally and Jeff.

To our favorite neighbor (in both neighborhoods). We will miss you; but know that you are with those you have missed on this earth. It was an honor knowing you. Nancy, Richard & Matt (Schneider) and Brad Behlmer.

You were a wonderful Grandma, Lorna Heiners! Endless hours of double solitaire, cooking, sewing, crafts, & The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson...all done without any complaints and infinite patience. You taught me the love of jigsaw puzzles, crossword puzzles, sour cream (on anything!), sunny-side eggs with mushrooms, & chopped pickles on spaghetti. You may still hear the echoes of "Watch me, Grandma...Watch me!" in Heaven. Give a big hug & a kiss to all our loved ones up there.
I'll miss you.
Your FAVORITE Grandchild,
Laura
P.S. I'll perform the Carol of the Bells "dance" every Christmas and the can-can every New Year's Eve...just for you!
