Marcia Allen Obituary

Allen, Marcia L. (Née Tyndall) Age 61. Marcia won her battle with lung cancer on May 11, 2013. She was surrounded by the love of family when she died peacefully and fearlessly, just after sunrise. She held the hands of her husband and children as she was received into the very hands of God. Marcia used all of her considerable energy to enjoy the beauty of life - to delight in her family, her friends, her faith, and her favorite Wisconsin sports teams. Marcia's compassionate heart and kind spirit touched the lives of many. Her strength, courage, tenacity and selflessness were an inspiration to all who knew her. Marcia served as a bright light in her role as a volunteer, at Zilber Family Hospice, where she too spent her final days. Marcia will be remembered for her humility, her warm heart, generous soul, deep intelligence and zinging wit. Loving wife, and best friend, of Dennison "Chuck". Cherished mother of Carolyn and David (Claire). Devoted grandmother of Cameron. Beloved daughter of June (Chuck) Lawrence. Daughter-in-law of Albert and Marie Allen. Adored sister of Cynthia Olson, Doug (Sue) Tyndall, Brian (Susan) Tyndall, and Elaine (Pete Reichardt). Much-loved aunt, sister-in-law, and cousin; also survived by other relatives and many dear friends. Preceded in death by her father, Howard Tyndall. Marcia's life will be celebrated Wednesday, May 15 at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 631 N. 19th St., Milwaukee with a visitation beginning at 1PM and service at 3PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Free To Breathe (http://www.freetobreathe.org/donate.html). Brett Funeral Home (414) 342-0692

Carrie, although I've never met you I share your pain and grief at the loss of your mother. I recently lost my wife Lori,(Nathan's mother)Russell and also my mother. I found great comfort in the words of Psalm 46, particularly Verse 10,"Be still and know that I am God." I hope you also will find some solace in these word. God will be with you in your time of trial. This I truly believe. Bless you.

Marcia was truly an inspirational teacher for us all. She did it in the best possible way - through her actions, not just her words. She showed us how to fully live every day in faith until she died. She will be missed here on earth.
