Margaret Bach Obituary

Bach, Margaret Mary (Nee Regan ) 91, Of Winston-Salem died peacefully Monday, November 30, 2015, at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. Mrs. Bach was born in Milwaukee on August 25, 1924, daughter of the late Denis and Lillian Regan. Margaret attended Marquette University and graduated from Mount Mary College as a dietician. She subsequently received her teaching certificate with a specialty in working with children with dyslexia. She married her high school sweetheart, Robert J. Bach, in 1946. In her own words about their family, she said, "We did, and still do, love every one of you. If that is what gives you those beautiful, happy smiles, then we did a great job." They were happily married for 60 years prior to Bob's death in 2006. Margaret was an avid golf, tennis and bridge player at Old Town Club and enjoyed caring for her many furry friends. She is survived by her children Ann Petersen (Jim Glover) of Chapel Hill, Tom Bach (Marianne) of Winston-Salem, Mary Brown (Jeff) of Winston-Salem, Peter Bach (Nancy) of Minneapolis and Robbie Bach (Pauline) of Seattle. "Nani" is survived by 15 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. In addition, she is survived by her sister Catherine Voss (Bob) of Milwaukee and her brother in law Jim Bach (Marie), also of Milwaukee. A funeral Mass will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Friday, December 4, at Saint Leo the Great Catholic Church, 335 Springdale Avenue, Winston-Salem, NC 27104 with Father Brian Cook officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Leo's or the SECU Family House, 123 Old Mason Farm Road, Chapel Hill, NC 27517. Online condolences may be sent to www.salemfh.com.
