Marian Fehrenbach Obituary

Fehrenbach, Marian E. (Nee Krupka ). Passed away peacefully and was reunited with her husband, Bill, on March 14, 2015, at the age of 90. Mother of Mark (Cathy) of West Allis, Jon (Margaret) of Seattle, William (Mary) of Stevens Point, the late Donald, and the late Jeanne (Greg Mitchell) Fehrenbach. Grandmother of Zachary (Emily) Fehrenbach, Kaitlyn (Kevin) Veliquette, Erik (Kendra McGirr) Singer, Elizabeth (Luke Ryder), Michael (Emma Enderby), Sam, Jamie, and Andy (Kate) Fehrenbach. Great-grandmother of Alexander James and Elliot Grace Fehrenbach. Sister of Celine (the late Richard) Larson, Margaret (Remo) Cameranesi, and the late Jo Ann, the late Orlando, and the late Clarence "Bud" Krupka. Sister-in-law of Betty Krupka. Also survived by other relatives and friends. Visitation at ST. MATTHIAS CATHOLIC PARISH, 9306 W. Beloit Rd., on Saturday, March 21, from 10:00-11:45 AM. Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 noon. Burial at St. Matthias Catholic Cemetery immediately after, followed by a luncheon reception in the church hall (basement). Marian's life comprised a long and continuous expression of love, caregiving, and family values. Her adult life and her nursing career were nearly synonymous, as she completed her nurse's training at St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield immediately following high school. She met and married Bill, the love of her life, in 1946, and interrupted her nursing career soon after to start a family which would eventually grow to become five children, eight grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. When the youngest started school, Marian resumed her nursing career as a school nurse in the Hales Corners/Greenfield School System. Later, she joined the Visiting Nurses' Association in Milwaukee, and became a pioneer in local health care as she established and managed the region's first hospital-based home care program at Trinity Memorial Hospital in Cudahy until her retirement. Marian was also the matriarch of her immediate and extended family, a role that she treasured as fiercely as her role as nurse and caregiver. She was an active and involved member of St. Matthias Parish for more than fifty years, and a long-time volunteer at West Allis Memorial Hospital. Marian loved to travel, and completes her greatest journey reunited with her dear Bill. She will be greatly missed by all who loved her. In lieu of flowers, donations to Ministry Home Care - Hospice Services in Stevens Point would be welcomed.

Dear Fehrenbach Family,

I first met your mom, Marian, about 12 years ago, when I started working at AWAMC. She was a very sweet and (special to me) volunteer and we became good friends. She would check in with me almost every day that she was scheduled to work. She always talked about her Bill and how much she loved and missed him. She told me all about her children. She never told me about her nursing career. She loved you immensely and will always be watching over you. I send a hug for each of you as I'm positive you could still use more. I have been where you are now. Pam Westmont

To the Fehrenbach family, my mom was a good dear friend of your Mom and Dads, and I have met your parents several times as well, they were both very delightful, and always smiling!
My mom is in a memory care center now so she wont be able to make the funeral but I want you to know that she sends her love and hopes that your parents bump into my dad who we lost a little over a year ago.
Cherish the memories, they live on forever in our hearts.
The Styba Family.

Aunt Marian and Uncle Bill would "rescue" me from the dorm when I was attending school in Milwaukee and take me home for a home-cooked meal. They both were always kind and loving to me and to my entire family.
She will be missed.

Mark and the Fehrenbach Family: Your Mom will be missed by many. I have such fond memories of her that will always be with me. She was an amazing woman. She especially loved her grandchildren and was such an influential part of their lives. I am grateful that she has found peace and is reunited with her loved ones. Sam Nick

My most cherished and heartfelt family memories revolve around "Aunt Marion and Uncle Bill" and "cousins" Donnie, Jeannie, Mark, Jon Paul, and (the cutest of all) Billy. This was a family of choice, an extended family and we loved gathering together! Our parents loved their bridge games and we loved running wild outside to the tree house or playing endless rounds of Heart and Soul" on the piano, playing trains in the basement (while sneaking homemade dill pickles) and so many other simple pleasures that wove together a lifetime of family love, fun and great memories. Our get-togethers always had an energy of CELEBRATION, whether planned or spontaneous! And today, when I think of Aunt Marion, I see her sparkling eyes, her genuine smile and easy laughter. Such Dear friends and Dear Times, all the way through life in Milwaukee and later, coming back for visits, bringing the McGills into the clan. I think it's a testament to our parents that our friendships have continued among the children AND grandchildren! A family of choice spanning 70 years (beginning with Bill and Bob's fraternity days at Stout, continuing when both accepted teaching jobs in Milwaukee). I can imagine Maion being welcomed by Bill, Sally and Bob to a hereafter Bridge Game with loads of laughter and a few tears as their table is finally together
again. We are each truly blessed to be living lives touched and loved by these four fabulous friends, Marion and Bill, Bob and Sally. May all feel the deep and blessed peace at the end of this well lived journey.
With Love and hugs, hugs, hugs,
Sally Lynn-Littlle Sal-Sarah Hanna McIll,
and Rob, Maura, Fish, Sheryl and Rye Mc Gill
