I had the supreme pleasure working with Mary Ann at Umos. She was a brilliant inspiration and mentor to me. Her constant advocacy for the disenfranchised was her most admirable characteristic. Her loss will be deeply felt.

I worked with Mary Ann briefly doing some grant research and writing. She was certainly a special person. Her passion and dedication to helping others was such an inspiration to me. I just happen to think about her today and found her obituary. So, while two years late, I send my heart-felt condolences.

I was fortunate enough to have Mary Ann as my mentor while I fulfilled a college internship at UMOS. She was a wonderful person and a great role model. I am so sorry for your loss.

Dear Borman Family, my deepest condolences to you in this time of grief. Mary Ann has a special place in my heart and she will be greatly missed. She lived a full life, from Milwaukee to Mexico to Rio Rancho NM and everywhere in between. She affected so many lives with her passion for the least of these. She made a path for so many to better health and better lives in so many ways. She believed and saw potential in others when they could not see it themselves and she provided opportunities for them to grow and flourish. It was an honor to work with her and next to her and to be mentored by her. Cherish the memories you have of her, remember the joyful moments as you grieve her loss. Dear Allison - I remember you were always by her side, may you be filled with the peace and comfort during this time and may God provide solace in your heart.
