Michael J. Barclay

Barclay, Michael J. Age 50, of Honeoye Falls, NY, formerly of Brown Deer, WI, and Ridgewood, NJ, died suddenly on August 16, 2007. Mike was a graduate of Ridgewood High School ('75), Colgate University ('79), and Stanford University ('86). He was a professor at The Simon School of Business at the University of Rochester for the past 22 years. He found a true passion when he fulfilled a lifelong dream of becoming a private pilot. His other interests included scuba diving, tennis and flying his seaplane to remote fishing spots with his buddies. He is survived by his wife, Laura Thurner; mother, Noreen Barclay of Pewaukee WI; siblings Dave (Debbie) of Winfield, IL, Kay (Jeff) Kreiter of Slinger, WI, Janet (Les) Guilfoyle of Rockaway, NJ, and Rich (Lindsey) Barclay of Ridgewood, NJ; his 4 dogs, many nephews and nieces, and Laura's family also survive him. He was predeceased by his father, Frank D. Barclay. Visitation on Thursday, August 23, 2-4PM and 6-9PM at Millers Funeral Home, Rochester, NY. A memorial service will be held Sunday, August 26, 2007, at 2PM, at the University of Rochester.
