Goetzinger, Michael L. Age 56, shared 25 years with his wife Jennifer, and fathered 4 amazing children; Ian, Connor, Robin and Claire. On February 11, 2015, Michael left this life and entered into the LIGHT and unconditional LOVE. Son of Ted Goetzinger (Marion) and Lee Alexander, siblings: Beth (Gregg), Pat, Cory (Christian), Peter; step sisters Meredith (Leigh) and Amy (Roger), nieces, nephews, and many friends. A talented chef, his love of food and the art of gathering inspired Michael to conceive Black Tie Café and Catering, located in Bay View for over 12 years. He generously gave his time to the homeless, hospitalized, and incarcerated: cooking and feeding those who were also struggling. His life philosophy was one of giving back every day to the community. Anyone, friend or stranger, fortunate enough to sit at his table was always treated with care and respect. A lover of Lake Michigan, Michael spent time sailing, kayaking and fishing. Music and bird watching were his solace. On Sunday, March 1st, a celebration of Michael's life will be held at Plymouth United Church of Christ, 2717 East Hampshire Street, Milwaukee, WI 53211 at 2pm. The family invites everyone to a reception immediately following. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the Goetzinger Family Fund at the Community Bank and Trust.
