Gorczynski, Dr. Michael F. Was born August 27, 1950, in Cleveland, Ohio, and died in Brookfield, Wisconsin, on April 19, 2016. He was a graduate of Maple Heights (OH) High School ('68), Case Western Reserve University (B.S. '72), and Chicago College of Osteopathy (D.O. '78). Dr. Gorczynski was in family practice in West Allis for 17 years and went on to Aurora Healthcare, where he served as Director of Medical Informatics. He retired in 2012 to enjoy an even fuller life as grandpa, woodworker, and tanguero. Mike is survived by Rosanne, his dear wife and dance partner for 40 years. He is also survived by his cherished children Kristin (Martin) Young, Sarah (Scott) Falter, and Charles Gorczynski, as well as by his mother-in-law Sandra Allen, his sister Peggy Slez, and his brother Jim (Bette) Gorczynski. The delight of Mike's heart were his beloved grandchildren Jamie Gaurkee, Eloise Young, Casey Gaurkee, and Julia Young. He was a dear "Uncle Mike" to many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be on Friday, April 22 at HARDER FUNERAL HOME from 4:00 -7:00 PM and Saturday, April 23, at 10:00 AM, followed by a celebration of Mike's life at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations in Mike's memory may be made to the Food Pantry of Waukesha County, 1301 Sentry Drive, Waukesha 53186.

Just going through my mothers things after her passing and found Dr. Gs business card. My mom (Jeannine Projko) was a patient. She spoke so highly of him I want you to know he kept her going long after other doctors ignored her. Be proud of him. I sure am and I never even met him personally. Im sorry for your loss. Roseanne, I was very surprised and saddened to hear of Mike's passing. I will always remember the years we spent together going to CCOM and our Tuesday evening dinners out after our weekly anatomy quizzes trying different ethnic restaurants in Chicago. He was a fantastic roommate that first year and those visits with you and Mike after you got married. I also remember how excited I was when he chose to set up practice in West Allis while I was in Elm Grove. I will miss his joviality and hope that time will prove his legacy.

I just found out about Mike's death, and I am so very sad!! Mike was the best Dr ever, and as our kids grew up, "Dr Mike" was the greatest! I am sure we drove him crazy, but he never showed it. Rosanne, I am so terribly sorry for your loss. Even now, after all this time, I just want to cry - this world is emptier, and a little bleaker without him in it.

My sympathy and condolences to Mike's family. Mike, another friend (Jim Murtz) and I always walked to school together for many years. Like Carol L., I was lucky to meet up w/Mike after many years at our 45th reunion. Mike was a great drummer and I always knew he would become a great doctor!!

I was one of the good Dr. Gorczynski's patients years ago when he had his own practice. He was wonderful as a man and a doctor. He literally saved my life and I will always remember that. I am so very sorry to read this. May he rest in peace and keep healing people on the other side of the veil.
