Nancy and I met in 1974 at Ripon College where we became roomates and lifelong friends. Every year since college, Nancy and I send each other anniversary, birthday, and Christmas cards--catching up with life and all. She was always the prompt one, with each card arriving if not on the exact day, then a day or 2 before. This year, I thought it odd when no card arrived on our anniversary (July 15). I am so sad to learn today (July 24) of her passing. I know Greg and her family are heartbroken. I will keep my memories of her close to my heart.

Nancy was one of those special people I have met in my life. Her smile was like watching the perfect sunrise and set. As a young kid Nancy and Greg would come over to our house, and being a kid , believe or not I wasnt always a bright light of sunshine, but when I saw her smile it seemed like all of my troubles had disappeared. You will be missed !! However any time I get to see one of those perfect sunrises or sunsets I will always have you with me!!
Much love always

Nancy was the smartest ALJ we had. Everyone knew she gave both sides a fair shake, and she always read every page of every exhibit filed before a hearing. Nancy had total control over the hearing room, and could be tough when needed, but there was always an underlying kindness that seemed to come out, especially once "business" was done for the day and we went off the record. She will be missed.
