Grandma I will miss you. You were the best Grandma anyone could ever have. My fondest childhood memories are of being with you. Thank you for sharing your wisdom and for your unconditional love of everyone. I know you are at peace and you are home where you have longed to be. We will all miss you and we will continue to celebrate the life that you led and the legacy that you left behind. Until we meet again, rest in peace.

On Friday August 28, 2009, Cousin Ora found her rest, punctuating a life well lived. I remember getting the news and declaring on my Facebook page that Friday was a sad day. I remembered our last time together celebrating her 94th birthday and longed for her touch, to see her smile and to share the smile that she always brought to my face; but on that day I just couldn’t find it.
I pray for my personal strength and for the inner strength of each family member – every son, every daughter, every grandchild, every niece, every nephew and every cousin – that we may never forget always remembering Cousin Ora’s lasting touch and her unconditional love.

Emma, your mother will be greatly missed by the Dockery family. Over the years, we spent many joy filled hours in your mother?s home. She was a gracious host that was gifted with the spirit of hospitality. I know that your mother?s departure is painful, but I encourage you to rejoice. Jesus said: " I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live?. Your mother was a godly woman that believed 2 Corinthians 5:1 ?For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. ? Rejoice Emma, your mother has moved into a new home! Presiding Elder, Rev. Willie F. Dockery, Jr. and Family

Dear Emma, I was really heart broken when you told me about the loss of your Mom. Please know that my prayers go out to you and your family. I know that your faith will get you through the days ahead but the pain of her loss will be real. Please let me know if there is anything that I can do to help. Anita (Nita), Allen
