We had him out on our tugboat off Sheboygan
in 1976, My dad worked on the kennedy campaign with him. A classy individual..

The residents and staff of Milwaukee Catholic Home will dearly miss Pat Lucey; he was a much liked and universally respected resident in the six plus years he lived at MCH. "The Gov." enjoyed his active life here, especially our weekly Shakespeare classes which he rarely ever missed. My fondest memory of him was during our trek to Spring Green to see "Richard III" in the rain! Pat donned a yellow rain slicker and sat in the wet stands and loved the play! (He was 94 by the way!) Our love and prayers are with Pat, Jean and the entire Lucey family.

I will always owe Pat Lucey a debt of gratitude for negotiating a position for me in the U.S.Attorney's office in 1963. It was in that position that I learned how to practice as a trial lawyer. Pat always made time to counsel people in the ways that each of them could maximize their life goals for family, friends and the community at large. Pat was and will always be in my mind bigger than life. Rest in deserved peace my friend and condolences to the family for your loss . Franklyn Gimbel

Pat Lucey's byword in governance was "austerity," even as he pressed for and got record expenditures to improve life in Wisconsin, especially in higher education.

Pat Lucey was my Ambassador in Mexico City and had remained a dear friend ever since. He was a public servant without peer but even more importantly he was a grand human being. Jim Walsh
