Paul was a great friend to Marquette U wrestling. When we had the opportunity to host a national tourney (National Catholic Invitational) at MU in the early 80's. Paul stepped up (with several other alums - Jerry Gadisnik, Frank Galka, & others) to come up with the "system" to keep track of all the scoring for the tourney. Whenever there was a wrestling function - you could count on Paul. I speak for all of MU Wrestling when I say, Paul Charnon will be missed! Dan Jones

I send my deepest sympathy to the Charnon family. Paul was a wonderful person, he hired me at Edgerton which I appreciated to get the opertunity to get to work for him & the company. There was never a day that he couldn't put a smile on your face or make you chuckle. Paul will truely be missed he was well loved by all. I can picture him sitting next to God he is in a much better place now even though we wish he was still here with us. Love you Paul:

Dear Charnon family,
I was so sad to hear of Paul's health problems and now his passing. I knew Paul not only as a neighbor in Greendale but also when we were both at MU and he managed the wrestling team I was on. My wife joins me in sending you our sincere condolences and prayers. Rest in peace, Paul.

Those we love don't go away,
They walk beside us every day,
Unseen, unheard, but always near,
Still loved, still missed and very dear.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Charnon family.

Some of my fondness memories are working with Paul and fishing with him. I'm sorry I didn't keep in touch with him.

My deepest sympathy to the Charnon family and the entire Edgerton Contractors organization. Paul was a great human being and a gentleman in every sense of the word. Our industry has been left just a little better by everything he touched. His dedicated participation in our health fund and training programs benefitted many operating engineers and his efforts shall be felt by our young operators for generations to come. He will be missed by our industry and I trust that God will look favorably upon his life and his generous contributions to others.
