Phil, you gave me a chance to grow in life, with 11 fascinating years under your guidance at Applied Power. Thanks so much, too, for allowing me the opportunity to buy a small part of the company until I left in 1968. Forever grateful for your kindness and your intellect!

I had the pleasure of knowing
Phil for almost 50 years.Not only was a great person to work with,but a kind,warm,and sincerely human being.I am proud to call him a friend.We will miss him.Bon dernier voyage

Phil's quick wit and curious mind; his courtly and gentlemanly ways; his deep love of family-- these are but a few of Phil's sterling qualities that made him so special and interesting as both father and friend. We will miss you greatly, Phil.

Phil.. I will miss seeing you when you came in to see Dr Davies and you always brought along some fine chocolates from Austria. Thanks for all the memories.

Phillip was my closest friend from the early 30's at Milwaukee Country Day School. I wouldn't have been as successful in my career had he not got me involved in manufacturing when I returned from WW 11. I will miss him.

He was a man that affected the course of my life greatly, he was always kind to me and truly interested when he asked "how are you"?
A rarity these days.
