Philip Grant Meyers

Meyers, Philip Grant 54, of Flower Mound, Texas, passed away Thursday morning, September 16, 2010, following a courageous battle with cancer. Philip was born July 3rd, 1956, in Evanston, Illinois, to Philip Gardner Meyers and Constance Grant Meyers. He was a talented and accomplished intellectual property attorney and owned his own firm. With a great love for music, Philip played the bassoon with the West Suburban Symphony Orchestra in Hinsdale, Illinois, and sang with local civic groups. He was a faithful member of The Episcopal Church of the Annunciation in Lewisville, Texas, where he sang in the choir. His concern for those in need led Philip to help with the clean-up of the Mississippi coast following the devastation of Hurricane Katrina. Philip is survived by his wife, Ann-Marie Meyers of Flower Mound; daughter, Sally Ann Meyers of Flower Mound; son, John Philip Meyers of Lewisville; sister, Elizabeth Schonitzer of Chicago, Illinois; and many nieces, nephews, friends and colleagues. A memorial service was held at 7:00 PM on Tuesday, September 21, 2010, at The Episcopal Church of the Annunciation in Lewisville. Philip will be interred in the columbarium at the church.
