Phyllis B. "Fay" Konkel

(nee Konieczka) Fay found peace and Eternal Life on January 3, 2021 at the age of 94. She was born in September of 1926 to August and Stanislawa (Grad) Konieczka. She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Chester Konkel. Loving mother of Karen Konkel-Setum and dear mother-in-law of Ted Setum. Proud Nana of Lauren and Katherine Setum. Dear sister of Marianne Couture and Jean Danko. Fond sister-in-law of Florence Konieczka and Daniel Danko. Cherished godmother of Janis Merki and Mark Couture. Dear friend of Ellyn and Maury Laessig. Further survived by nieces, nephews and other relatives & friends. Also preceded in death by Stanley Konieczka, Nettie (Leonard) Skierawski, Stella (John) Kuchnowski, Casey (Stella) Konieczka, Anne Konieczka & Wilfrid Couture.

Fay was a graduate of Bay View High School. She worked at Lindsey Brothers and enjoyed golfing, gardening and ceramics. She was a talented bowler, earning the State High Women's Bowler Award in 1960. Fay cheered on the Packers, Brewers, Bucks, Badgers and Golden Eagles and enjoyed many happy family vacations fishing on Pioneer Lake. With a loving and generous heart, she enjoyed cooking for her family on holidays. Fay was endlessly patient and never critical. She loved shopping with her granddaughters - her timeless style and ability to find the best deals will be fondly remembered. Throughout her life, Fay reflected the love of God in the love she gave to others. The smile and warm greeting you always got when you saw her will be terribly missed. Many thanks to the Clement Manor staff for their compassionate care and support. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family for a memorial garden project at Konkel Park in Greenfield.
