Father Mike,
You were pure inspiration and made religion fun! Who else teaches the gospels and let's the kids stand on their chairs?! Thank you for always being there for me, for all the kids at St. Charles and for all the hugs!

My condolences to the family. I remember my first Retreat in High School with Fr. Mike. I still remember him saying to me "You have an hourglass figure. With all the sand at the bottom!" LOL - always a dry sense of humor. Thanks for taking care and guiding us teenagers through those years! God Bless you!

We want to send our thoughts and prayers to the Grellinger family. The world was a better place because of Mike. We have so many good memories from the Marquette High School days and over the years. Mike always had a smile on his face and made you feel happy when you were with him. He will be missed. God Bless you good friend

Fr. Grellinger was one of those parish priests (St. Joseph, St.Alphonsus) that you always, always remember as being a part of your memmories, especially if it involved CYO. I've long since lost track of him as life moves a person through it's inevitable changes How wonderful to hear that he's kept his passions (CYO, children, Packers, Christ)all his life. Rest in peace, Fr. Mike.

The song I will always remember during my retreats with Fr.Mike at OLS is make me an instrument of your peace. I graduated from OLS in 1974 and I will never forget the impact he had on my life. Come good home. You served, worshipped the Lord and loved everyone you encountered. May you reap all the rewards Heaven and God gives you.

Fr Mike was a great man. Always kind loving and thoughtful. He's home with Aunt Ruth, my mom and dad and brother and sister and so many others that he loved and loved him. I'm sure they are all laughing, telling jokes and having a fantastic party right now in heaven.

I graduated with Mike in 1954. I lost contact with him over the years, but what I do remember is him being a really nice guy.
Another thing I remember him being ribbed about showing up at some sports events with a car full of girls. Looking back I realize these girls didn't have dates, but he made sure they were not left out. Pretty claasy!!

I have very fond memories of Father Mike. He was my mother's cousin. All of the Grellinger family was dear to my family. I remember Aunt Ruth so well and John, who was such an athlete. These are always sad times, but happy as well, as we remember so fondly our pasts and the dear people who were kind to us as we grew up. Rest well Father Mike... We will always remember that Fr. Mike made it a point to leave everyone with a smile on their faces after Mass. It was so important to him that his congregation be happy when they came together to pray and when they left to go home. He knew how to build a parish culture of harmony, friendly cooperation and joy in its mission.
