To Elva and the Castillo Family:
Elva, I met you a while back when my wife introduced me to you at WE-Energies. She was one of the security guards there at that time. I know it was a blessing to have Raul in your lives because it was a blessing to have him in ours here at Rexnord - Stearns. Thank you for sharing him with us. May the everlasting peace and comfort of God be present in your lives as you strengthen each other in this hour. May the memories of your husband and father bring happiness and joy to each of you. He will surely be missed.

Familia Castillo,

My deepest sympathy for your family’s loss... “Raul”, “Rudy”, “Rule”, “Pops”, “Poppa”, and “Lito” have all been names for the Greatest Man Ever to be among us.

Elva, I know Diosito is with you right now giving you the strength to cope with your pain; the most important thing a father can do for his children is to love their mother, and I know he loved you with all his Soul. With God, Family, Friends, and time, may your pain heal into wonderful memories that can be shared over and over. God Bless you during this difficult time.

Vicente, Erica, Elisa, and Raul Jr., I’m so sorry for your great loss, God is with each and every one of you giving you the strength and conviction to convert your loss into beautiful memories. God Bless you all during this difficult time.

To All Lito’s Grandchildren, Lito is in Heaven now. He is with God and watching over you now. He is your new Guardian Angel and he will always be with you. Lito is happy and he wants you to be happy too.

My conversations with Raul have always been the type that electrifies one’s soul, the type that clearly overflow with love, wisdom, and magnificent strength. Raul is extremely intelligent and the wisest person I have ever known. I am so very proud and honored to have had him in my life. I, too, shall miss him with every moment of my life. Our philosophies parallel each other and this allows me to have the confidence to continue on my journey through life. I truly know that in times of need, all I would need to do is look upwards toward the Heavenly Skies and receive guidance from both you and my Blessed Mother. My emotions are high at this moment, my heart is grieving, and my tears are flowing freely. “Pops”, I will miss you and I can’t wait to see you again…

-Louie

In loving memory
To my wonderful grandfather who I know as a dad! Raul raised me like his own daughter. Everytime I was with him I felt warm and loved. When I needed him, he always pushed everything aside just for me. When I was having a bad day I'd call him and my day would be complete! Everytime we were with eachother we were laughing or joking around. He showed me how to be me and only me. He always lifted me up when I fell down. He was a very rare man, you probably can't find another man like him anymore. No one can replace a person like that.As long as I can remember he was always there for me. He will always be in my heart and prayers. He was a wonderful role model, strong hero, and wonderful grandpa...... He was my dad! Lito you gave me the best 12 years of my life. Thank You!
You'll always be with me Lito.
See you later:)

Tia Elva and Family,
I am so sorry for the lose of your husband,” Pops” and my Tio Rule. He was a loving person who cared so much for all of his family and friends. You were all blessed and fortunate to have such a person in your everyday lives. He had such an impact on everybody’s lives that he knew also. He shared lots of love, advice and wisdom. For this reason he has made a special place in everyone’s hearts, thoughts, and prayers.
Tio Rule we love you and will never forget you.
Love Joey.

Tio Raule was a wonderfully vibrant, energetic and most importantly family-oriented man. I thank the Lord that I was blessed to have known Tio Raule. When I think of you, Tio Raule, I picture you at Mommy Castillo's house, coming through the doors with with a wonderful smile and your arms open and ready for all the hugs from everyone who was there visiting. You will be truely missed.

Tia Elva I know that there is nothing that I can say or do to show you how sorry I am for your loss. All I can do is to continue praying that God help you, Mommy Castillo, Erica, Tito, Raulito, Elisa, grandchildren, and all my uncle and aunts through this difficult time. May God be with you and the Castillo family.

In loving memory,
I am the youngest of the four children that was honored to be parented by not only a great man for a father, but an equally strong and wise woman for a mother.
I would like to thank everyone who took the time to share their thoughts and prayers to my father and his family. I cannot begin to explain the comfort it brings me as a child of Raul Sr. to read the kindness and authenticity of the messages sent. In reading these entries it makes me proud and fortunate to have had the opportunity to call Raul my dad, and though at times selfishness consumes me I know in my heart the profound effect that he played in many peoples lives other than just his immediate families. As a free spirit he lived and so shall he be forever more. In my lifetime if I can equate to even half the man that he was, I would have considered my life a success.
Again, I thank everyone for their prayors.

LOVE YOU POPS!!!!!!!!!!

While no longer with us physically in this world, Tio Rule lives with us in spirit and heart through his sons and daughters, family members and friends who have so many fond memories and stories to share of a man who displayed conviction, integrity and a love for his family and friends like so few people have. TIO RULE, you will be missed, but never forgotten.

Elva,
I never met you but working with Raul by my side for 10 years I feel I know you. He was one of the best partners I had in the 33 years I have been at Rexnord. My heart is heavy and yet I am at peace knowing he is in a place where he will feel no more pain. My prayers are with you and your family.

My sincerest condoelences to Josefa. I cannot imagine the pain that surrounds your heart when a child is lost. To Elva, who we all know was and is a commited and loving wife who always took care of her husband. There was no way to know that your life partner would be taken away from you at such a young and age and so tragically. We are all here for you in this time of need. To his children, Vicente, Erica, Elisa, Raul Jr.), remember that his spirit and strength lives in each and every one of you and all of you made him proud because you never forgot who you were, where you came from, and the dignity and loyalty it takes to always persevere when life makes you feel weak. To all of his grandchildren, never forget the loving memories that each of you have of your loving, doting "Lito". He loved all of you individually and with equal amounts of depth and carino.
Raul was the rock as the head of his fanmily and he will be very missed.
For me, personally, I thank you for raising a wonderful son who will try to be like you as you were always evolving and changing for the better. A real man is one that learns from his mistakes and you were always reflecting on life in a way that only a truly philispophical man can do. Because of your wiscom and your time with him, Raul is in turn,a great a dad and husband. From the very beginning, you accepted my and my daughter Alexia into your heart and as part of your familia and we never had to work for your love and approval. For that , I thank you. I dedicate to you the sincerest promise that I will aim to make Raul Jr. and I have a wonderful journey the way that you and your loving wife and life partner (Elva) did.
May you rest in eternal peace. You are now with our Father, the Lord God. Amen. Malena Castillo

My "Uncle Rudy" was a very special man. I was just talking Erica a few weeks ago, trying to explain why I felt he was so loved. He brighted the room when he walked in. He was a genuine man, when he asked how I was doing I knew he really wanted to know. When he hugged me it came straight from the heart.

Tito, Erica, Elisa and Gordo, my thoughts and prayers are with you during this time of loss. If there is anything I can do please let me know. Remember your "Pops" was a great and kind man who loved you all.
