Fischer, Rev. William E. Of Oshkosh, WI (formerly of Waukesha, WI), died Wednesday, November 15, 2017, at the age of 91 years. He was born in Sheboygan, Wisconsin on February 14, 1926, to the late William G. Fischer and Flora (Nee Nix) Fischer. He married Elsa Bangert in Sheboygan, WI on January 21, 1951, and she preceded him in death in 1995. William was a retired Lutheran pastor in the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod, having served for more than 65 years throughout the Midwest. He was the dear father of Michael N. (Karen), Mark J. (Myrthala), Matthew P. (Mary) Fischer and Martha F. (Kevin) Hischke; the proud grandfather of seven grandchildren: Matthew, Timothy, Daniel, Jacob, Jessica, Rachel and Lauren; the dear brother of Gail (Thomas) Kraus, Darlene Fischer, Nathalie Fischer, James (Iris) Fischer and the late Elaine Fischer. He is also survived by other relatives and friends. Visitation will be on Monday, November 20, 2017, at BEAUTIFUL SAVIOR LUTHERAN CHURCH, 1205 South East Avenue, Waukesha, Wisconsin, from 9:00 AM until time of Funeral Service at 10:30 AM. Interment at Lutheran Cemetery in Sheboygan, Wisconsin.
