My mother was a Schmidt. Loved every moment spent with your family on the lake. My uncle Art was a very interesting man. I have fond memories of staying with my aunt and uncle while my father was terminally ill with cancer. Wishing you love and fond memories.

Dear Tim, Mike (and Schmidt Family). I am sorry to hear of your father's passing. I have many fond memories of the early to late 80s at your house in Delafield. I, along with several of our neighborhood friends (Mike Kaufman, Mike Mathey, etc.) spent many days and nights in your house, in your yard, in your garage, in your driveway and your father was always very kind to us and very tolerant of us always being over. May he rest in peace...
"The Little Ship"
I stood watching as the little ship sailed out to sea. The setting sun tinted his white sails with a golden light, and as he disappeared from sight a voice at my side whispered, He is gone.
But the sea was a narrow one. On the farther shore a little band of friends had gathered to watch and wait in happy expectation. Suddenly they caught sight of the tiny sail and, at the very moment when my companion had whispered, He is gone a glad shout went up in joyous welcome, Here he comes!

Dear Schmidt family, my deepest sympathies to all of you. I as well graduated in 1987 from OHS. Mr. Schmidt was such a wonderful and funny man. He is one of three teachers that I always bring up stories and have nothing but fond memories. As Mr. Beye stated, he had a positive influence on us! I was just playing badminton on Saturday with my boys and I told them about this wonderful Gym teacher that I had in high school and how he used to get me to play so aggressively at it. They laughed and said I haven't changed. I always think of him when I play that game, as well as others and always will. Thanks for sharing your father and husband with so many kids that he influenced through the years. I am sorry that I couldn't make the visitation and tell you in person. Until we meet again... Peace.

Dear Tracey,
I, by chance, read of your Father Richard's passing so I thought I'd send you a note. Please accept my condolences to you and your family during this difficult time. I remember Richard and you from your Falk summer jobs many years ago. Richard was always so friendly and pleasant on his walks through the shop.
Until we meet again,
may God Hold you
in the palm of his hand.

My condolences to Dick's family and close friends. He had such a profound positive influence on so many students and fellow teachers that his legacy will live on in eternity. I am honored to say I knew him, worked with him and most importantly, learned from him. He was truly a great man.
