We would like to express our sincere sympathy on the loss of your father. He was a special friend and a true gentleman. We had a special connection since Anne's father, John Burbank, also flew in B-24's. Bob always made me feel special when I would stop at the store when I was home on leave as an Air Force Officer and he wanted to know everything he could about the new technology in the Air Force. He was truly a member of the greatest generation.
