Robert Nolan Obituary

Nolan, Robert "Bob" V. The family of Robert "Bob" Nolan, announces his peaceful passing on July 24, 2018 at the age of 88 years. He is preceded in death by Mary Ann, his beloved wife. Bob, a man of devoted Christian faith and strong conviction will be lovingly remembered by his children; Susan(Jerry), Thomas (Mary Beth), Timothy (Sheila), Daniel (Jill) and by his brother Chuck, sister-in-law Bert, and sister, Virginia. Silly, adventurous "Papa" will be missed by his 13 grandchildren, Nicole, Sarah, Adam, Bennett, Amanda, Ally, Daniel, Brianna, Jenna, Tess, Brendan, Sophia, Evan and 5 great grandchildren. Bob is predeceased by his parents, James and Margaret; sister, Catherine and brother, Jim. Bob will also be forever remembered by his numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends. Born April 19, 1930 in Chicago, Bob attended college and dental school at Marquette University, residing in South Milwaukee, with Mary Ann. He lived there for 50 years where he was a successful, skillful Dentist for over 30 years. Bob, known for his bright friendly smile, humor and outgoing personality, was always generous with his time and talents in his local community, church and beyond. An Air Force officer in his early adult years, Bob is known for many contributions; Discovery World Museum and SMHS, a carved wood "Tree of Life", stand as an example of Bob's initiative and drive. Along with a passion for wood carving, Bob enjoyed his antique cars, sports (especially golf), boating, outdoors activities, forestry, politics and working for many worthy causes. Bob later settled in his second home, in Melbourne, Florida where he continued his passions and friendships. Funeral service will be held at Molthen-Bell Funeral home on Saturday, August 25, 2018 at 11:30 A.M. Visitation on Saturday at the funeral home from 9:30 A.M.-11:30 A.M. Inurnment at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. The Nolan family would like to thank all friends and family for prayers, thoughts and support during this past journey. Special thanks to Azura Memory Care in Oak Creek and Hometown Hospice caring for Dr. Bob. Contributions may be made to Wisc. Alzheimer's Association. or American Forestry Assn.

To the family of Bob, especially Susan who we met at Azura while visiting our mother, Diane. Our deepest sympathies at the lose of your father. He had the brightest most beautiful smile. Keep your memories of happier days close at heart....he is at peace now.
