Mary,
Bob will be missed by all of us,but the memories will live on in our hearts forever. My most fond memories of Bob were when he and Jack lived with us in Bloomington. He would babysit for us and I thought he was so much fun. He would play board games with us and drove a cool motorcycle. It was great having two older "brothers type" around. Then when Bob went to the service Grandma Helen May and I would pray for he and Jack. Bob brought back a beautiful German cookoo clock for her and she displayed it proudly. He was always a fun person to be around. Over the years it was great to be with him at all the family events.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you and the family.
Love,
Robin, Jim, Emily and Jacqueline

Dear Mary,
We have all lost someone very special. I am sorry we could not make it to the services. I will NEVER forget all the teasing, jokes, and fun we have had over the years. Growing up, holidays, camping at Peewaukee, the never ending teasing I took. I will remember the phone tag and trying to find Bob while I was in Europe in 1969. He was in the service and we planned to meet somewhere. I wish we had had cell phones instead of German telephone operators. we did get together while we were there. I was just in high school and was proud to have such a tall dark and handsome cousin to meet all my friends. Bob was always there whe someone got married or a family gathering. We couldn't always make every event, but Bob DID. I always looked forward to that. I will miss his presence. I will miss his teasing (athough, I know a couple other Zahn boys that try to pick up the slack).
Mary and family, you are in our thoughts and prayers.

Bobby -
I don't know if the hole in my heart will ever be filled. We had so much fun over the years - laughing, teasing, practical jokes. But most of all you were there when I needed help, and for that I was never able to thank you enough. I will miss you, big brother. We will all miss you.
I would like to thank everyone who has shared their memories, and expressed their condolences. They were very helpful during this time of loss.
And Mary, thank you for giving Bobby 19 years of happiness. I know it was hard to follow in Joe's and my footsteps, but you did a great job.

Bob, there will never be anyone like you again. I will miss you so very much. Jazz in the Park with Mary and I carrying the chairs, tables, food and you bringing up the rear with one little back pack giggling all the way. Bob, I will miss the "Road Trips" we always took whenever you were driving. You always made me laugh and I loved the way you giggled whenever you thought your joke was really funny. You're a special man Bob and you married a special woman. Don't worry about Mary we will take care of her. Your "other wife" will miss you.

Bobbie was a very kind humorous gentle man. Years of volleyball with him, the before or after at "Ray & Dot's" was always my highlight for the week. He always had a pain of a joke, or a story. He knew he bugged me because of this, hence my nick name "Bobbie". I knew that bugged him. Of course the punch in the arm. Bobbie Pat and I will sorrily miss you. You better hope that God gets you on a C League so maybe by the time your team gets there you'll actually get the ball over the net. No taking anything outside either, if you miss. No making any turkey's because as Joe and Bruce did, it'll be gone by the time you want to eat it. We'll see you one day. With deepest sympathy. Pat and Kay Wielgosh

I remember many good times with Bob playing volleyball over the years. Our team was so consistent (we never got any better). But we laughed and had more fun than any other team. Bob was usually the reason we did.

It was easy to be Bob's friend. He was a real gentleman. I had the pleasure to share an apartment with Bob, play on a vollyball team with him, listen to his (groaner) jokes and always lost to him in bets on the Packers. A very special man who will be missed by all who knew him.

My heart goes out to Bob's family at this time. Bob will always be remembered by the old West Allis YMCA crowd. We shared a lot in just a few years: Saturday dances, the trips to Big Boys, Sunday morning cleanup and the canoe trip from hell are some. Bob was a good person.

Most sincere sympathy to all of Bob's family. We shared the same birthday, and a few memorable years at the old West Allis YMCA. As was his father, a good man too soon gone.

All Saints won't be the same without Bob! I'll always visualize him in your usual place on Saturday nights and miss him.
Prayers will continue for your family for peace and comfort. May your memories of the good times you've shared sustain you in these sad days.

Bob was such a wonderful compassionate man! Even though he was a quiet man, he had a wonderful sense of humor and always made me chuckle! I will never forget Bob. He made a difference in my life.
