Rolf Dickson Obituary

Dickson, Rolf Garrett 80, of Fall Creek, WI, formerly of Milwaukee, WI, died Sunday, November 12, 2006 at the Syverson Lutheran Home in Eau Claire, WI of natural causes. Rolf was born in Milwaukee on April 10, 1926. He was raised in Two Rivers, WI, attended Wentworth Military Academy and graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Rolf also served in the U.S. Army in the Second World War. He married his beloved wife, Gloria (Holibaugh) Dickson and they adopted two beautiful children, Sally (Sundby) and Donald from Children's Service Society in Milwaukee. Rolf and Gloria resided in Wauwatosa, WI for twenty years and then moved to Delafield, WI. When Rolf retired he and Gloria moved to Fall Creek, WI to live near their daughter. This past spring they sold their beautiful log home in the woods and moved to the Meadow's of Otter Creek. Rolf loved the camaraderie he found at the Meadows. Rolf's favorite motto was "I not only live life I embrace it" and he surely did. He and his wife have had a "wonderful life". Rolf made his mark in Eau Claire through his generous giving of time and support. He is preceded in death by his parents Wilbur and Carol Dickson, brother Robert Dickson and son, Donald Dickson. There will be a "Celebration of Life" for Rolf to be held on Sunday, December 3, 2006 at Fischer's on the Green from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM. The Cremation Society of Wisconsin, Eau Claire is serving the family.
