Ronald MacCudden Obituary

MacCudden, Ronald R. "Mac" Of Wauwatosa, WI, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 13, 2010, into Jesus' loving arms after a courageous battle which began April 29, 2010, at the age of 69. Even though this journey was difficult God was faithful to Ron and family every step of the way. Ron was born July 15, 1941 and grew up on Milwaukee's Eastside. He was welcomed into Heaven in the loving arms of his father Scotty, mother Alice, brother Jim and sister in law Mary. He is survived and will be missed by his loving wife of 50 years Carol (nee Ghirardini); loving father of Ronnie (Debby), Sandy (David) Cruz, Tony (Karen), and the best Grandpa to Angela, Nicole, Deanna Cruz; Ryan, Tori, Carly MacCudden; Anthony, Kevin, Thomas and Peter MacCudden. Also survived by sisters Judy (Reed) Schultz, Kate (Al) Ulik, Susan (Jim) Gruenwald, brother David (Chris), and sister in law Rose Ghirardini. He also leaves behind many loved nephews, nieces and extended family as well as numerous lifelong friends from all walks of his life. Ron was employed at Barry Trucking as a driver and dispatcher for 19 years. He then was Transportation Manager for Kohl's Foods for 20 years until they closed and he then retired. His most rewarding work of all was the time he spent as the BOSS of his family crew of the best moving company ever. One of his passions was riding his Harley and sharing the road with the "hogs". Ron was one of the kindest persons you could meet and made every person he came in contact with feel so special. We thank all the caregivers at St. Luke's ICU and Select Specialty who lovingly took special care of Ron and all his need. Thanks to Dr. Mahoney and Dr. Brand for their wisdom and love shown on Ron and his whole family. Tony, Karen and Carol and precious family,
We know that to be absent from the body is to be present with the LORD..and that's right where Ron is this very moment! He is more alive than ever before. At the same time that heaven is cheering on his arrival, we are mourning our loss...BUT not as those who have no hope. Our love and sincere sympathy to you, as Jesus holds you as you grieve. I'm Mike's former business partner. I got to know Ron and most of the rest of the family during that time. My wife and I especially enjoyed his humor and skill during the move the crew helped us make to our new home in 1997. I'm sorry I did not know him better. He seemed to be from that cut of cloth that is really missing in our young people today. I'm sure he served as a great role model to family members and all that he touched.

Dear Carol and Family,

We knew you so many years ago when you lived above the Reuters'. Through the years we heard that Ron and his son were in the moving business, so when we decided to move to Las Vegas, we called Ron. We couldn't have been more pleased. He moved us from our home in Milwaukee to an apartment there while we waited for our home to be built and again when we finally moved to Las Vegas. He was such a fun guy...always smiling.

We know it is not easy for you at this time, but he is at home with the Father now, at peace with no pain.

Know that you and your family are in our prayers.

Prayerfully,
Judy & Ray Kunda
